Why does everyone say he is a top 5 or even top 10 QB. he is beyond overrated and is mediocre AT BEST. I'm sick of people putting him on a pedestal. Anyone agree?!

Why? He faced a team that last year had one of the worst defenses in the league. He threw a gift interception that should have ended the game, but unfortunately for the Pats the DB stumbled on his own feet and missed catching the ball.

The Ravens haven't given him a new contract yet. That should tell you something. Look at his season by season passing yards and TDs. Far from elite. He does have the wins, but he was backed up by a top 5 defense year after year and an elite back in Ray Rice. This year will be interesting, because the defense will have to get it done without Suggs (through October at least) and Jarrett Johnson (started opposite Suggs last year).

QB ratings of 80, 88, 93 and 80. TDs to INTs of 14/12, 21/12, 25/10 and 20/12.

He has as not passed for over 4000 yards and has had 2 season with average pass of under 7.0.

Romo would probably be run out of town with those stats. PERIOD.

Romo:

QB ratings of 95, 97, 91, 97, 94 and 102.5

TD/INTs of: 19/13, 36/19, 26/14, 26/9, 11/7, and 31/10.

His lowest avg per pass is 7.54 and it has been over 8 in 4 different seasons.

He has thrown for over 4K yards 3 times already.

And he hasn't had a Ray Rice or a consistent top 5 defense behind him.

No. Kid is one of the most overrated QB's in the league and he is ALWAYS getting love from the media.

Passing yards are a terrible thing to use when looking at a QB's efficiency. Way to many things dictate how many passing yards a QB will have. I would go with yards per pass, completion percentage, and TD to INT ratio before I ever looked at passing yards.
