Fleming and CWilliams

You mean a team doesn't play as well when their starters aren't in the game??? You've got to be kidding me!!!
Other teams win championships with injuries at key positions. Is this Garrett's mom? Can I ask why you couldn't have had any daughters so all 3 of your bum sons wouldn't have to have a job on the team?

Word on the street is L. Collins will play...and as much as we all love T. Smith, it's past time to be replacing him...not over his play, but his injuries year in and out now...if these morons we call coaches haven't figured out by now he is going to miss at least 4 to6 games a season, then they are dumber then even I give em credit for.

CW has not had any reps in padded practices at LT since joining the Cowboys.

Tyron is likely out while it is likely that La'el will play.

They're going to practice Fleming primarily at the position where the starter is most likely to miss the game.

I just don't wanna see Fleming on the ground in pain, and limping off the field. that's also what i'm fearing and that will instantly force Williams outside to LT
while reserve Filo immediately moves into the LG role. That's very problematic.

If i'm the opposing team and seeing that kind of depletion, I would run all kinds of stunts, overload blitzes to that side and make Connor/Filo have to adjust accordingly.

The Cowboys likely lose if Fleming goes out. At that point they need to run the ball and avoid getting Dak injured.

Jermey Parnell ended last season with an injury and couldn't pass a physical in the March time frame when free agents were being signed.

I wonder if he is healthy now.

He just needs about 3 days of practice to be better than Fleming and definitely better than moving somebody to OT that has not been practicing at OT until this week.

I think Hennessy means we don’t always put our backups in the best position to help us. Like not in the right spot on the field.

Probably because Williams hasn't played OT in 2 years and RT would be an easier transition.

Depends on how you look at it IMO. I mean, he has more recent practice time at RT but he's much better suited to LT and he pretty much played that in College. I've always thought that Williams was a LT in the NFL, not a Guard or RT. He doesn't anchor well IMO. He's much better suited to lateral movement and he really doesn't use his hands particularly well. I mean, I'm a die hard Texas fan but to me, LT is where he fits best.

JMO though.

because they are looking to the future, if Cwill needs a postion switch he goes to RT because if you move LC to LT more natural postion given hes a left hander, makes sense to get him reps there now..

its possible next season or after if TS retires etc..we have McGovern to possible take LG
but why move Collins who is having an outstanding season at rt? by doing so, you have to make adjustments at two positions. why not just leave Collins where he is and if need be, use someone else as the lt. that way you only jeopardize one position.

I didnt say I agree, I said IF a in season injury or two happens its good way to test this switched lineup..if we were to lose TS for the season and Fleming getting beat like chaz green , you move LC to LT which is daks blindside, Kick Cwill over to RT and let Xavier be the LG..it maybe glimpse into the future..

We seemed to play pretty well the year Romo went down and then Dak had to play. We played pretty well last year when Fredrick went down. We may not have won a superbowl but to act like we are always unsuccessful at replacing injured starters is disingenuous at best. Basically your comment was just another whine about Garrett but rather than use anything of substance you threw out some nonsense that was pointless and ridiculous.

The games missed due to injury by Tyron Smith and Sean Lee had a largely negative impact on the offensive and defensive performance of the not so successful 2017 season.

Non injury but poor replacement definitely applies to the six games missed by Zeke also in 2017

Non injury but poor thinking and/or strategy by Garrett to believe receiver by committee could work after not replacing Dez Bryant until Cooper arrived last year was totally inept

This lack of ability to coach up and/or scheme or devise a suitable gameplan in these players' absences is a direct reflection on the head coach's inability to do his job effectively.
