Do you hate defense or what?

You just wasted your 4th pick on a TB. Your next two premium picks should be on the side of the ball that arguably needed more help.

Then look for project WRs in the 4th round or later.

We didn't waste anything. Bosa was gone and we took the most dynamic weapon in this draft. We invested all of our offseason in FA's for the D. They may not all be blue chippers but we still invested. I wanted Mario, etc but they want cheap guys.

Sheperd is the best route runner in this draft. He would be a steal in the 3rd, but I think he goes in the 2nd anyway. In the 4th I want to see Kwitakowski as we still need LB's in case Ro or Lee get injured.

What?

We invested really in one guy we know can play - Thornton. The rest were projects and bargain bin players. The defense was most certainly not sured up in FA.

Taking a WR in the 3rd round would be foolish. It just would be. The moment you took Elliott at 4, you should have then focused the rest of your top assets on defense.

It's amazing to me how some of you look at the defense and think it's in good shape to the point you can use a 3rd round pick on a 5-10ish WR who might only project to a slot guy in the NFL. Frankly, if I were taking a WR at 67 and both these guys were there, I'd take Boyd easily over Shepard.

I think the defense isn't in good shape, but you just signed Crawford, have a stud in Irving coming back, and finally got a bona-fide 1T. You also have Wilson and Russell who might come on. We need help no doubt. But so does the offense.

Come on. Irving is not a stud. He's an unknown and likely not much more than a really good backup/swing DL. Wilson and Russell are back up players, at best.

His workout numbers are bad. Physically he is want you want, 6'5, 34 inch arms, 277 pounds. He looks a lot like Greg Hardy, but 1 year of college production and his 4.86 40 are a bit worrisome. But considering we did not bring in Spence or Ogbah in for visits, Dodd is far more likely

Didn't he have like 13 sacks?
