I'm a huge fan of Fla...who ya'll think will win??
Tough call. I have seen Zook win some games that he had no right winning and then I've seen him lose some games that Spurrier never would have lost. As of now, I'd give the slight edge to the Vols.

What a great game and what a shame the Gators lost it due to an unsportsmanlike conduct call on the player who retaliated for a slap the official had to have seen came first from a Tenn player. Should have been offsetting penalties.

That Chris Leak is electric.

That game was awesome.

Tennessee has two very good young quarterbacks on their roster . . .

And that kicker had nerves of steel to rebound like that.

GO UT!!!!!

The ESPN crew is yelping about the egregious call.

Worst I've ever seen by a ref in college or the pros.

Florida got robbed.

I don't root for either team, dislike them both in fact, (Florida still reeks of Spurrier and I despise anything that ever had anything to do with a Manning :D ), but anyone with any sense of fair play would be incensed by how Tenn won that game.

Worse than the fluky tuck rule call that got the Pats past Oakland to the SB in 2001 because that was a judgment call in a situation of very low visibility.

And even worse than the notorious call which was said to have done more to being back instant replay than any other - the one against Seattle in 98 when Vinnie T dove for the endzone, fell a few feet short, but craftily snuck his arm and the ball over the goal line from beneath the pile. Ah Vinnie!

In both instances the official had the excuse of not being strategically enough placed to make the right call.

But tonight, the ref was standing right in frn tof th altrcation, head on, and did not throw the flag til the Gatot retaliated in the very same way the Vol instigated.

That's just plain wrong.

Awful, awful call, but it should get plenty of airplay .

That 81 yd TD by Leak was a doozy, tho, and what a play action artist that kid is.

UT (the fake one) wins it by a mere 2 points.

Damn I'm good.

That was a great post LTN.I couldn't have said it any better. That referee should have either not called it or called off-setting penalties. He was standing right there and saw Both of the incidents, but for somereason only called the one on Dallas Baker. Some supicious stuff goin' on there.

I've seen the replay a dozen times, and I still have no idea what any of you are talkling about.

When the UT player smacked the Florida player, it was clearly good natured and playful. Almost as if to say, "Hey, rival, great coverage on that play!"

But the mean-spirited Florida player struck back in a clearly malicious manner, as if to say "Your momma's a ______!"

The ref did the right thing, and you conspiracy-theorists just need to move on!

Robbed again! Refs sucked (I think the penalty should have been on BOTH teams)...but if Dallas Baker (Wes Chandler's nephew) had thrown his hands up, looked at the ref and said, "How about a flag?" we would have won the game. He needs to exercise a little self control.

Our defense was pathetic at times. Although I will give a little slack here in that I know they are VERY young. Charlie Strong has his work cut out for him.

All-in-all, it was a game that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. Glad it was an early loss for us, and that we can rebound and get a decent bowl game this year, if not a trip to Atlanta...and that (SEC Championship) is still possible if we can win out in the rest of our SEC schedule.

Hey Bobo . . . I've not paid my Vols that much attention the past few years . . .

What happened to C.J. Leak? I was expecting him to be the QB this year . . . and he's got 2 freshman in front of him?

I thought he was supposed to be a decent QB . . .

C.J. got yanked for those two freshman guys...he was moved to defense, and plays some on offense as well. Chris (brother) chose to play for Florida because Tennessee "lied" to his brother with their promises that he would be the QB. It's something that happens all the time.
