Mayweather's been a lot more anti-MMA recently. Is there a reason behind it? He talks with CBSSports here saying MMA is for animals and it was created because whites can't excel in boxing (1:47 mark)

I'd be more afraid of a MMA fighter...he'll punch you, kick you, break your arm, break your leg, choke you out....with a boxer...he'll just punch you. They've already proven that boxers can't hang in MMA.

I'm not an MMA guy by any means, but we all know the grappeling aspect is what get's boxers beat by good ground fighters.

Boxing is one of if not the most "International" sports there is so you can't just say it's Black's and Hispanics. There have always been top 10 in the world white fighters and allways will be.

Fighters have always come from the ranks of the poor, so ya, Blacks and Hispanics and gonna gravitate to that sports.

during that whole schpeel Mayweather sounded like he was talking out of his *** and had no facts to back it up...He talks a big game but until he beats Pacquiao(sp) he has no room to talk..he just sounds pissed off that MMA is growin in popularity and boxing has lost its edge in a big way....

I'll listen to Mayweather when he takes on the best in his weight class and becomes a true champion. Mayweather is making no attempt to fight Cotto, Williams, or Mosley. He called out Mosley continously until he destroyed Margarito. Mayweather's next match is going to be against a bloated lightweight and yet he has the audacity to call out MMA fighter.

Exactly..Mayweather is a god fighter but IMO highly overrated by ESPN as well as other sports reporting agencies..Until he beats somebody thats worth a damn he has no room to criticize anyone....especially other fighters that are busting their *** and trying to make a decent living

Me too. MMA has its moments, but I'm all about boxing through and through.

Sounds like the crying of a dude who knows he'd be destroyed in an MMA fight so he's got to dog it and talk down about it because it's tougher than his sport and it's becoming more and more popular and soon enough, if it's not already, will be more popular than boxing.
