5Count, I know that, but I am soley talking about offensive line play, nothing else

its like what nate also said, nate said this team needs a young big time player on this offensive line bad,

like a young erik williams or larry allen

I'm just saying that Newton may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

well i think he knows what he sees in the offensive line play,

thats my main point, he is right there at practices, and he is seeing the action up front,

its like he said about McQuistan, defensive linemen were beating him right and left with the same move over and over. Nate said, come on man, you might beat me with the first move, maybe even the 2nd time but not the 3rd or 4th time with the same move

but nate said Doug Free was allowing that to happen to him

granted the players didnt hit in practice the first 25 days so you couldnt tell too much,

as far as trading flozell, Parcell loves flozell, believes in him, i sure dont believe in flozell though,

to me, if you can pull it off, trade flozell get that extra 2nd and maybe 4th to 6th for flozell in a trade to miami,

there are some pretty good offensive linemen in this draft, we need some young blood on our offensive line

who did the dolphins draft in the first last year?????

You'd be lucky to get a 4th for or 5th for Adams lead alone all picks you mentioned.

He felt that way about Flozell his first year here, but he soured on Flozell over time. He's already got two bookend tackles in Miami with Jake Long and Vernon Carey.

I remember one of the KTCK talk show hosts saying they ran into Ryan Young one time and started picking his brain on the Cowboys. Young said Flozell idolized Larry Allen like a father figure, but Larry Allen didn't work hard to keep himself in condition or put in extra work studying. Larry Allen just thought he could show up for games and dominate, and its one of the reasons his play fell off a cliff when he got into his 30's and he didn't have the natural ability to just bully people anymore. When Parcells arrived he found that Flozell and the other Cowboys offensive linemen followed Larry's example. It seems Flozell falls back to that mindset without some sort of carrot dangling in front of his face (a new contract) or Parcells/Sparano on his butt 24/7.

inman, thats a good post;

maybe we need to get that to the media so they can push the cowboys to push the offensive linemen, especially flozell

i do think thats part of the problem with the offensive linemen, its like nate newton said after the big playoff game with the cowboys and giants in 2007.

nate said sure looked like the linemen didnt do their cardivacular work during the bye week, and it sure didnt help matters when the head coach cupcake wade didnt have the cowboys in pads at all in december or coach cupcake didnt have the players hitting in practice for the first 25 days in training camp in 2008.

I think some of the coaches are partially to blame, not pushing the offensive linemen, and letting those players get fat and lazy

So I'm watching the Probowl and sick to my stomach watching Flozell...

I feel for Romo and his fumbling..Flozell has false started and given up two sacks that were responsible for Drew Brees fumbling..now does everyone know why Romo fumbles? Even Drew Bree's fumbles when DE's blind side him. I cant stand Flozell and I want him off the team. I'm done ranting(sort of)
Not for nothing, but non of the NFC OT's looked very motivated. Jammal Brown got beat repeatedly to.

Guys talking about dumping outright a guy in the ProBowl. Amazing.

He's in the ProBowl right? Doesn't that mean his peers voted for him to?

Doesn't that mean he's considered better than at least 14 other starting LT's?

Maybe Gandy's available from the Cards. He looked awful good in the SB. ha!

Young was a regular on 103.3 the year after he got cut, and he something to the effect that "Flo is a great talent, but Flo has a LOT of things going on in his personal life outside of football." It actually sounded more ominous that it probably reads.

I've never forgotten that comment.

Flozell Adams has been a dissapointment, I agree. To think I was for re-signing him...

flozell Adams was re-signed under the premise that he was the best option available over other free agents and draft picks to be had that year by Dallas. But I think this yeear is the year where Dallas needs to finally draft his eventual replacement. We're stuck with Adams for at least one more year (if not two).
