Caring what Fox sports says is like getting your news from Fox News.

Just clock bait stories to try and prey on people's worst emotions.
It's the corporate culture at Fox I guess.

oh, you mean by pointing out those pesky FACTS......I guess that's what escapes you...... they must be doing something correct, they're number one in the ratings..

That's my only issue. I can't say what the front office did is foolish if Elliott turns out great and Ramsey and Buckner don't. I think Elliott was the safer pick of that bunch, but it doesn't mean he'll be better. It just doesn't mean he'll be worse either.

All things being equal (all three turn out great), I would have taken the end over the corner/safety and running back because of the value of the position, but I don't know if all things are equal.

Reasonable people can grade the process not the result.

Be reasonable.

Drafting a rb top 4 was a silly luxury and risk we probably couldn't afford.

It is a click bait story for sure. It seems like he read half of the opinions out there among the dallas fan ase and summarized it...knowing half tge fans would freak out and the other half would defend it...and all would read it. The joke is on all of you calling him an idiot, you justified his job.

It's a half-baked opinion designed to get people to talk about him. It's like arguing with a 3rd grader.

This time of year fans are in love with the draft picks especially Zeke. He is a fan favorite, a shinny new toy to root for. Although I think the article is dead on, I am not totally against the picks. Actually coming around and hoping it works out as planned. This draft is the ultimate high risk..high reward draft that is typical of Jerry (not Stephen) style draft for the last 20years. Zeke hasn't played a down in the NFL and is deemed Elite.... Kind of reminds me of what they said about Trent Richardson. Now bring Jaylon Smith into the mix and Jerry is doubling down...Jerry runs a business not a team and he needs the fans to pay for that shinny new practice facility....the Star. Hope Zeke works out but this draft is the ultimate Boom or Bust.

The Jerry Jones Cowboys have never been known as a brilliant football minds or Football smarts. Yet, it is known for its brilliant business decisions....what other franchise would bring Victoria secret to a football stadium.

Boooo!

But I understand why we're getting it. In 3-4 yrs we'll know.

Yep, It's why there are no guts or glory to go public with an opinion on the draft. Your never proven wrong or right until 2 to 3 years later and by that time people have forgotten what the writers opinion was.

Yea...the average age of a Fox News viewer is 68... That's the average age...average..

Guess who is the easiest group of people to scare and get upset? Old scared people who don't know how to go online and find out the real truth.

Fox News convinced people that people who are considered such a risk to our security that they are on the terrorist watch list should still be allowed to buy guns...they can't get on a plane and fly overseas where they can create terror in places like Syria, but let's keep a terrorist here and arm them with semi automatic weapons... Brilliant...

Was that the pesky fact you were mentioning? Maybe if I were 68 and hadn't yet discovered this thing called the Internet I would believe the stuff they say.

Yes and none would have much of an impact this year. Zeke will. The only way to win now is to take the pressure off of Romo and you do that with a running game. You force your will onto other teams. Of course if you want to right off the Romo years and start planning for the future than yea.

That's all well and good, but then why are you drafting a guy in the 2nd who is not even going to play this year?

Again, this screams of Jerry reaching for shiny toys, not a team with a plan. And even if there is one, that plan is weird - if you are so worried about the defense being on the field, then I don't know, maybe we should improve the defense?

I dont think its a risk but drafting a RB in the top 5 makes no no sense in todays NFL.

Like I said, the rest of the draft is TBD. The team has been trying to improve the defense for years and nothing seems to work. The only thing that did was having a Running game to keep the defense off the field. I've been critical of Jerry for years and probably will in the future. If the Smith gamble doesn't pay off then it won't be the first time that a gamble has failed and probably won't be the last. It's just what we have to put up with as Cowboy fans.

Its pretty shallow analysis. Was the Elliot pick a little controversial? Yes, because the NFL has been moving away from 1 RB systems and if you draft a RB that high you probably want him to be a bell cow. Now if we're going to feature an offense that looks more like our 2014 offense then the current mold of the NFL then its a pick that makes some sense. But as far as sensational drafting in the last 20 years we've taken a lot of EDGE players and recently OLine players high in the draft, which is sorta the opposite of flash.

I think one of the reasons that elliot was a serious choice for us this year is that this draft didn't match up well with our needs. We needed a high likelyhood CB, a lead dog DE, could even use another top flight WR. None of those guys were really there at 4. Ramsey, at least according to most, is more likely to be an elite safety then an elite CB. Not sure having a 2nd 1st round safety in as many years was a great choice either. Maybe he will be the elite CB in the future, but that's far from a safe bet. Lawson doesn't feel likely to be an elite EDGE player. I wish the talent had matched up better for us.

Seems like there are plenty of places where arguing politics is all the rage. Can't this place not be one?
