Would you really cut him and sign someone like Suisham?

You can't just dial 1800-FG-KICKER

I'd bench him and start Buehler and say if you don't step up vs the Commanders next week your released, start him vs Commanders have him kick 50 yarder's and if he misses even 1 kick, he is gone.

Folk is done for the year. The best thing to do is put him on IR and claim it is a hip issue after his surgery. Then sort things out in the offseason.

In the end, it doesn't really matter. He is not the difference between winning and losing a Super Bowl. We are just mediocre.

Why would we sign someone like Suisham?

One, I think we already have Bueller on the roster. And two, even if we needed to sign a FG kicker, why would it be someone like Suisham?

This is like when someone says they wish Jerry wasn't the owner and someone else says, 'what, would you rather have Al Davis or Mike Brown?' Yeah, as if not having Jerry means we want one of the other worst owners out there

Cut him and go 2007 New England - just go for it on 4th down. No more FGs.

Im not sure you can IR him like that.

I would just sit Folk for a couple of games and work w/ him during the week.

His kicks are going left or right as soon as he kicks it. I haven't seen him hit one down the middle in a really long time, even his extra points aren't perfect.

There is something wrong w/ Folk

No, I'd rather keep an extra roster spot. Just have the staff doctor something up about him - strained hip or something.

I think his 18/21 looks pretty good compared to Folk's free fall. He has adequate leg strength (5/5 in 40-49yrd) and pretty much got canned for missing one chip shot (yes it was a very critical one vs NO). I'd at least bring him in for a look this week.

BTW...ask Mike V if you can't just cut a kicker.

This........ If we can cut Vanderjagt, the most accurate kicker in the history of the NFL, after signing him to a FA contract, we can cut Folk. And Mike V wasn't nearly as bad as Folk has been. The following week after cutting Vanderjagt, Martin Gramatica kicked a 46 yard FG to beat the Giants. Gramatica was pretty clutch the remainder of the season.

This is what bothers me with this team. We just keep going with what obviously doesn't work and we refuse to accept it or fix it; we just stick our heads int he sand and hope it gets better. Folk choked in two games with the games on the line. Are we really now being held hostage by a ****ing kicker?

what I'd do is get Buehler working on field goals, and if Folk's problems don't go away, I give the work to Buehler in wk. 17

that's the realistic way to go about it

Is he your son or something? I see you defend him week after week. At least if you're the guy I remember defending him last week. If not, my apologies.
