Are we able to read into our targets based on what Pro days he attended. We know he attended Alabama, South Carolina, Ohio State, and Oregon. Don’t believe he attended Penn State or Notre Dame’s . With no combine and no personal workouts I think if your going to take a defensive player at 10 ,you would want to see that player in person. What do y’all think ?

I think you're on to something, but there are qualifiers. Because of Covid-related rules, clubs can have only up to 3 representatives at each Pro Day. That could matter on who is deployed where.

For instance, Notre Dame has a handful of OL prospects, and OL coach attended. Maybe Quinn felt the contingent there was adequate to give him the information he needs. Multiple colleges are having simultaneous Pro Days, and the same guy can't be everywhere at once.

Also, there is a relationship aspect. If a guy has an especially good relationship with someone on a college coaching staff, it might make sense to have him at a particular Pro Day. He might unearth facts that others wouldn't get -- work ethic, attitude, etc.

That said, Quinn seems to be where the DBs and DL are, for the most part. And that surely makes sense.

Bama - DL, LB n CB
OSU - DL, LB
Oregon - CB, S
USC - CB

I like the mix, imo Dan looks focused on DL n Secondary, but he always drafts a LB. Just need him to snag a couple of goods defenders at any position.

USC you mean D-Line.
Tufele and Tuipolotu
I hope Quinn likes Browning from Ohio St, I think he would be a perfect fit in his scheme.

The Holland kid would be a great scheme fit.

Was Quinn at USC? I really like both of those DTs

I hope we don't get into coaches having too much input again.

Give them the players and let them coach them up, do you get a scout to run tackling drills?

I think what Quinn can advise on is the need to address certain positions. Who the team decides to take and at what point is up to them.

I read from Pauline today, who is very locked in, if the Cowboy corner choice isn’t there, only then they will take Sewell if available. I have a hard time believing that, but it suggests they are locked on who they want at 10, my guess it’s Surtain

Agree. I think they would be happy with 1 of 3 choices there..Sewell,Surtain or Parsons. Pitts would only be the pick if there board is wiped out and they cannot find a trade partner.

I'm not gonna go throwing remotes if they take him in the 3rd.....but if pick #10 is an OT, and they come back with the very raw Holland at 44....nah, they just have to do better for 2021 after that question mark of a FA haul.

Also Slater, but think only Pitts would make them go in another direction

I'm gonna guess and say that Sewell, Pitts, Surtain and Slater......in that order....are the guys they would keep the pick for instead of trading it.

If they are all gone, I would figure to see a deal down.

Horn is probably the safety valve if those guys are gone and there's no deal to be had.

I thought Miami too but I could be wrong.

Yup. I saw an insider deduce the same thing when asked about Parsons. Said the Cowboys seemed to put minimal scouting resources into his workout. We aren’t the type franchise to be coy either.
