Food for thought? Robert Quinn

I was a huge Spencer supporter when he came out of Purdue. I still think he's a quality player because he's generally a very good run stopper, however, 3 sacks through 15 games this season is unacceptable.

The two sacks he racked up against the Eagles 2nd/3rd teamers in a meaningless game are negligible to me.

He needs to be pushed; Quinn would be that kind of player.

I don't think the team views Victor Butler as a fulltime starter, and I believe they think even less of Brandon Williams (and understably so...).

Spencer needs to be pushed to perform better or just to be pushed out of the way for someone better.

Spencer can be pushed by Butler. Spencer was not 100% this year health wise.

With this #9 pick we should get a starter.

Still would be happy with Quinn though. Beast.

Not a fan of Quinn at all. He sucks. Just stay away from him. Comparing him to Ware, a pro player, is just incomprehensible.

And his measurables mean nil. Or his production. I still heart Spencer. I think in 3 more seasons, Spencer can be a solid 5-7 sack man. With Spencer on the team, Quinn is unnecessary.

If his measurables and production mean nothing, what does?

He's got man-love for Quinn.

I think he's got woman-love for Quinn as well, since he's been moaning ever since I said he doesn't belong in the same universe as Ware. :p:

I like Robert Quinn; however, I will wait and see what Jerry will do in Free Agency. If we have free agency! Our offensive line is aging and we need to bring in some new blood. Our secondary is in shambles also. Hopefully we can get some free agents that can take care of some of the holes we have on our roster so we can draft the best player; rather than draft for need.

I'm hoping Marcel Dareus goes somewhere in the Top 8 for the simple fact it will take him off the board of potential players Dallas could select. I think Dareus is JAG.
I agree 100%. I have watched most Bama games this year and he shouldn`t go in the 1st round IMO. If Dallas selects him with the 9th pick , I`ll be sick. He has had the ability to show up in the bowl games but his week-to-week play is medocre at best.

Everytime I come across this thread I get a woody just picturing Quinn on this D. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG please let this happen.

Only parroting the Count. I see he now "likes" Quinn, when at first he knew jack about him. :D

Medical questions would have to be answered but otherwise I would be fine with him. Spencer just has never gotten it done except for about 7 games in 2009. Maybe one game this year against backups. Enough is enough.

Don't be so sensitive. I can't believe you're still crying about this, it's been at least a week. Wanna hug it out? Maybe I can hold your hand and you can tell me all your hopes and dreams? We can sing songs and climb mountains.

Yes please. Best defensive player in the draft, or top 2 in my opinion. Ware+Quinn= new undies.

You got that right! Quinn is the BEST player in the ENTIRE draft! He's a D.Ware clone. He plays with the same speed around edge, hand fighting, shoulder dip, and counter moves that Ware does. In fact, he's better than Ware was in college. If he shows he has the flexibility to drop in coverage, everyone will be comparing him to Ware. Heck, he may not even be available to us @ 9. I'm keeping my finger crossed that he'll be there, and that JJ will have the sense to take the BPA and not pick for need. Just imagine what a DC like Ryan could do with bookend-Wares. Please make it so JJ.

is my pet-player.. But I've never held any hopes the Cowboys will have a chance to pick him.

He doesn't get past Buffalo, imo.. and if my a miracle Buffalo doesn't pick, the Browns certainly will.. Now, if both Buffalo and Cleveland all of the sudden do something else, now we're talking, but that's just me getting my hopes up..

I should slap me upside my head..

If Quinn is available when the Cowboys pick, the pick should take less than 10 seconds to execute. The guy has a lot of talent, and is very tough, which this defense needs. A game changer rushing the passer.

At one point I would have said, your attempt to avoid the issue is further obfuscation on your part - your apparent modus operandi. However with all your double entendres and sexual innuendo towards me, it is patently obvious that you are simply infatuated with me.

Sorry, you're not my type.

You are the wind beneath my wings.

Kiss Robert Quinn goodnight for me, tell him I'll be home from my business trip in no time and we can play catch like he's been asking.

LOL. Now that was actually funny. Still off topic, but amusing.

Robert Quinn is the best DE/LB in this draft. I have seen him play live 3 times. He is unblockable and drew double and triple teams every single game and still delivered sacks, ints and tackles for loss.

I saw him play VT, Miami and UVA.

Exactly! When you see Quinn play, you think of a 1-inch taller, and 10-pound heavier, version of Ware. Except, he's played against a higher level of college competition, and still put up similar, if not better, numbers than Ware.
