Can't say as I blame Landry for that, since his affection for them obviously never died. Even Tex Schramm knew it was over for Tom. They had some great years working in tandem, though. I find myself becoming more disinterested every year because of the inevitability of the same problems that have plagued this franchise for years. When things are going well like last year, I could tell the epic collapse was coming the moment the offense started to sputter. We all knew it was inevitable after the Broncos game and it felt like the struggle the rest of the season was in vain. The 49ers game was just the finishing blow completing the cycle yet another time.
