Fool's Gold?

It was so nice to be able to sit and watch a game and just enjoy it.

But based on what I seen so far this year - this was fool's gold. Glad for the win but I need to see it again.

My heart says I hope you're wrong but my head says I think you are right

Unfortunately I'm going to need to see a few more games like this before I start getting super excited. That said it was a wonderful win and definitely a joy to watch

We aren't a 40 point offense weekly, but we aren't the 30th ranked offense either. Somewhere in between, your guess is as good as mine.

As for the defense, I believe what you saw this week is pretty accurate to what we are, give or take some.

I have a very weird feeling about the game.

I guess I've just lost all confidence in Garrett and the passing game and I know it will be our downfall.

It may make me a bad fan but I do think a crash and burn season is what could be best for our future going forward.

We just need to copy this game with some minor tweaks here and there. Motion, playaction, designed runs, deep shots.

Everyone knows the drill. We will come out and play really well again next week. It's a big game so Dak will show up. Then, they'll probably lose 3 out of the 4 after the bye.

It's just part of the repetitive cycle of Jason Garrett's Dallas Cowboys.

I'll say I dont feel we are an awful team, because we've been competitive even when playing atrocious football.

So I'll say we are a very mediocre team currently, with more potential upside than some of our peer teams.

If we reel off 3 or 4 straight wins, we can talk again about if the team is fool's gold or legit.

We’ll find out next week if we’re fools gold or not.

However, I have a funny feeling we’re not.

We're going to be in every game.

Even when people were predicting a blowout this week all I could do is laugh.

We have a strong defense and we run a lot of clock offensively. It's going to be hard to just run away from us.

But the pass game is so garbage that I have no confidence against any team we play.

We are literally a 50/50 team. Flip a coin against any team we play.

The Commanders are basically the same team as the Jaguars, I don't see how a win next week changes much of anything.

The only thing that can come of the Skins game is that, if Dak throws the ball well, it will be the first time he's done so on the road in a looong time, but if he struggles and Dallas loses, the season is over. The Skins aren't a good enough team that the game is any type of measuring stick.

We saw this last year.

We took KC apart, people claimed it was the turning point and it turned out it wasn't.

Then we ripped off three wins in the row and had Elliott back and people said that would propel us into the playoffs despite the odds against, and then we dropped a turd against Seattle at home late in the year.

I need more evidence to be a believer.

Smith, even with his conservative play, is a much better QB than Bortles.

Welcome to life in the NFL. Name me a team outside KC & LAR who's consistent week after week (unless you're talking about consistently bad).

You hit the nail on the head!! Jason Garrett is playing checkers (actually marbles) while teams like the Rams, Chiefs, Patriots, Eagles, Saints.. are playing Chess

I have actually softened my stance on Dak, this is an organizational issue not all his fault. We have to realize what we have in Dak, don't expect him to be Tom Brady but just an average to slighlt average guy. He is not going to have Phillip Rivers career passing wise or Romo's career.

So? He still sucks and that offense provides no more threats to the Dallas defense than Jax.

Their receivers and tight ends are much better as well.

We go from Bortles, Westbrook, Cole, Yeldon and a no name tight end

To Smith, Peterson, Doctson, Crowder, Richardson, Davis, Reed

Crowder and Thompson being out can be a key in us getting a win

its called consistency...this was the perfect storm. they didn't have an answer for our passing attack or the slot WR. the defense played out of this world. consistency.

This team is a HC away from being good.

If the defense started getting TO's like yesterday, it could be really good. Still need WR's.
