How many curb stompings do truly elite QB's endure per year? Dak seems to get 3-4.

Seems other teams believe in their QB and even if they lose everyone on the team fights & claws to keep it respectable knowing their guy might yet pull out a win.

It's almost like this team knows he isn't capable of overcoming and they all just throw in the towel. Well, at least they understand the situation.
Making excuses for how the defense played by blaming Dak for their performance. So what you are saying is that they are soft and will take no accountability to get better and improve as long as they can put all of the blame on the QB for how poorly they play.

As soon as we have defensive players getting paid more than anyone in league history at their position, I will start holding them to the same standard that I am holding Dak to.

It's crazy how we Short change the defense so we can pay your pet money he hasn't earned and doesn't deserve, and then you act surprised when the defense becomes an issue.

This was the whole argument against overpaying Dak

But you guys said we "had no choice".

We could still get to 19 points with Rush. And if we put that 60 million into our defense, we probably give up a hell of a lot less than 44 points

Breaking News: never blame Dak for anything in here!! He's making more than anyone, and he's the team leader. He didn't do his job too bad get the guys ready to play
"Get the guys ready to play"

This is amazing.

So the defense WAS his fault, officially. Thanks for not even trying to hide the ignorance.

He’s gotta play better. He’s slow. Can’t run. Not worth close to 60 million. He’s a 30-40 million dollar qb max. Screwed for next 4 years.

So if he's a perennial top 10, All-Pro, MVP candidate quarterback who's only worth 30, 40 million...... what is Herbert, Lawrence and a multitude of other quarterbacks who have never won a playoff game worth??? 2 million??

As a matter of fact, outside of Mahomes, who is worth more than 30, 40 million according to your logic??

16 points in the 1st half isn't good?

32.0 PPG would've easily led the NFL last year.

This is why we laugh at you guys. Sorry, couldn't help myself.

I agree with the 16 points in the first half comment. However...

3 points in the second half, when you are playing from behind (and the other team is basically in prevent) is not good. Not completely blaming the QB on that obviously (though he drives the bus so to speak), but seriously.

You are down my more than two scores and need TDs and all you can do in the 2nd half is a field goal, an interception, three 3 (or 4) and outs, and one 54 yard drive that ends in turnover on downs?

don't think that's what I said at all.

Basically it's what you implied. Saying that the defense decided to just lay down and let that they weren't even going to try to stop the Saints. And that they were going to allow the Saints to score 35 points on one half. All because they as a defense decided they didn't have a chance with Dak and blamed him for their decision to play so poorly. Implying that this defense decides how they are going to play based entirely on how the QB plays. Or that they'll only show up if the offense is scoring TDs for most of the game. You're implying how this defense takes no personal accountability amongst themselves and that is predetermined that they are going to give up and lay down for the opposing offense if they don't think Dak can lead them back.

As I said for this team to win games, it requires both sides of the ball to equally do their jobs enough in the first half to give themselves a chance to win the game in the 2nd half. Not many teams have a chance to win the game when their defense gives up 35 points in one half. Dak didn't have the best game, but this loss isn't all on him and I don't fault him for how the defense played. The onus is on Dak to drive the Cowboys offense to enough points to give the team a chance to win at the end of the game. As long as the defense is at least getting a few stops and forcing a few punts per game. The onus is not on him to control the mentality and toughness of the defense who is going to decide that they'll fold and give up all game long if their QB isn't perfect and their offense isn't getting a TD every drive.

Carr torched our defense, he only had 11 completions the entire game and averaged over 22 yds a catch and they scored 6 consecutive TDs! Carr fer crying out loud, not Mahomes, but Derek friggin' Carr. It's ridiculous that the first thing that some people complained about was our QB and not the complete and utter annihilation of our defense. Is it concerning that the offense didn't play better? Yes, but it wasn't the first thing that came to mind yesterday. It's like a house getting burned down and then complaining about the the fire dept. because of the water damage.

You are reaching really hard to put your words in my mouth.

I made very clear statements. Not even really about any one game but of the historical pattern when this team faces adversity. Yes, the rest of the team is impacted by their confidence or lack thereof in the QB, ie, the face of the franchise.

Weird...I recall the defense giving up everything to Peyton Manning and yet Tony Romo still kept the team right there.

Odd.
Nope. No player has ever faced the monstrous adversity that Mr. One Vote experiences. Every other QB has perfect teammates and nothing ever goes wrong for them. Please send a compassion offering to the "Lighten My Load Fund" care of DRP Wealth Redistribution Incorporated.

Just because their offense was shredding our defense why couldn't our offense shred theirs?

Isn't that supposed to be an option when you paid your QB and he says he's amongst the greats to have ever played?
So much low-IQ football ignorance in just 2 sentences. Wow.

I can't believe people like you actually exist.
