Football Gameplan's Week 3 Cowboys v Commanders Video Preview

I think you are overrating the Commanders running game. They were very pedestrian against the Giants, and the Cowboys have been very good against two teams that like to run the football. We'll see, I guess.

I think the story here is all about the Dallas defense. They're going to have to carry the team, IMO. I think the Commanders will put a lot of pressure on the Cowboys' depleted offense, and, frankly, I don't expect us to be able to control the game on offense. If Dallas can pressure Grossman as much as they did Alex Smith, I think the game swings in our favor. If Newman is indeed back in the lineup, you'll see a much different passing defense, IMO.

Should be a good one. Thanks for the video.

I don't think the Skins have a great running game.. I like how they are committed to it even if it doesn't work

LOL Him Fonnie

So...even if the Cowboys were fully healthy this guy would pick the skins because they can "ground and pound" against the Cowboys who have pretty much shut down the run in their two previous games?

Um okay...

:laugh2:

They won't keep running if it's not working. They were fairly unbalanced (34 passes versus 21 rushes or 62%/38%) against the NYG until they got up by 14, then they ran it 5 times on their final possession.

They stayed with it against Arizona because they were gashing the Cardinals and Grossman had an early turnover that set the Cards up at the +37 and they scored two plays later.

If they're smart, they won't run it often against us. It's a recipe for punting a lot given our performance so far against much better rushing attacks.
