Most of them come out tomorrow. So be watching for them. I get the stupid Cardinals covers. Always pisses me off. I usually buy Lindy's and Athlon's. Now and then I get Street & Smith's.

Which ones do you buy?

Whichever hits the stands first. Usually, that's Athlon. But I think Lindy's and Street and Smith's does a better job with coverage.

Sorry, about the Cardinals cover. I get the Titans. :(

Phil Steele is the best now IMO. Used to be Sporting News or PFW.

Lindy's for me. I like the draft coverage and individual comments for roster players.

PFW is out already. When did these magazines start coming out in May?

I used to get Anthlon's or Street & Smith. Lindy's once in a while. When I was married, and we went to the grocery store, I would read those while my wifed shopped.

I don't buy any of them now, just read everything on-line.

BTW Hoss, remember when Street and Smith's was pretty much the only game in town? Particularly in the college mags, they had a definite east coast bias from what I recall.

Yeah I do remember that. When other mags started following I thought it was suicidal to go against them.

I've never really had the need to buy any....but that might change this year, as I'm going to be in the middle of a move soon, and I have no idea what type of cable or internet access I'll have over the next month or so.

Anyone feel like ranking their favorite magazines? Just to take this a step further?

I used to buy several as soon as they hit the newstand, but haven't for years.

It was pretty comical when Brown's fans would express their popularity over the Cowboys because 'look who's on the covers, it's the Browns, not the Cowboys'.

They didn't grasp the regional thing.

I'm actually in Panama City Beach, FL right now. I'm going one of several directions in the next six months. Either buying a house here and renting an apartment in Jacksonville/Talahassee so my fiance' can commute and get her master's in as a Physician's Assistant.....or we're going to try and find the perfect storm and find a city with a good program for her and some firefighting openings for me.

I'd like to either go out near you, or back up north. Too damn hot for me down here. :D

Thanks for the list!

Florida isn't hot. Ours is a dry heat though. I was a firefighter for 7 years. You'll love it.

Nah...it's not too bad. Training days with 8 hours in your bunker gear will make you sweat a bit though. :D I'm just not a big fan of humidity. In actuality, its really not much worse than Virginia was. I just miss the mountains....or something to look at other than pine trees and palmettos. The beaches are nice here, but there aren't any damn waves, so I struggle to find the point. :D

I already love firefighting. I think its one of those things you know if you're meant to do or not right away....I'm all in. Only thing I'm having trouble with is sleeping habits.

It looks like Street & Smith and Sporting News are the same now. No pics available though.

There are no mountains in Virginia. ;) You gotta see the Rockies to understand.
