demanding that he be out either this year or if he doesn't make the Super Bowl next year...

I'd love to hear your take on Tony Dungy. (And don't get me wrong, I absolutely love him as a coach.)

Also something to think about...

--Holmgren's record until this year in the playoffs with Seattle
--Shanahan's record, since Elway, in the playoffs
--Cowher's record in the playoffs until this year

So are they losers who should have been fired? Is Dungy?

Personally, I think they're ALL good coaches--& they've been given the chance by management to build good teams. (Anyone really think that the Steelers would win this game?) And 3 of those 4 are now headed to their Championship games. ALL have coached their teams for a LOT longer than 3 or 4 years.

Maybe I should also mention Jack Del Rio.

Some people are just hooked on the Parcells three year turn arounds. I never remember hearing Parcells say he could turn the Boys around in three years though.:)

But we didn't want him if he didn't want to be here. As long as he wanted to be here, I have no problem with it.

I'm not a Bill-Hater, just...annoyed with Bill.

I hate the conservative approach he and Payton call in games they think are going to be really competetive.

Best example is the Oakland Raiders game. The Cowboys should have walked all over the Raiders, but I think Bill thought the Raiders would be better and took the careful approach. It seemed that way in almost every big game.

That said, who else are we gonna bring in? It's just as big a gamble on him as with anyone else.

The funny thing is that Bill has turned the Cowboys around in three years. We had some awful bounces at times and some bad luck sprinkled in with some of the good things that happened.

But has anyone else watched any of these NFC teams and thought how superior they were to Dallas? Yeah, me neither. Dallas could have and should have been there.

I'm not saying I hate Parcells but I do reserve my right to be wrong and yes, correct on occasions as well.

...was what this team needed post Campo.

My worry is that his management style is good for certain period of time, but eventually players tire of it and will begin to stop listening to him.

I call it the Mike Keenan Syndrome. Ex- New York Ranger/Chicago BlackHawk NHL coach. He'll take the team to the playoffs, but eventually the team tires of the tyranny under a harsch disciplinarian.

Oddly enoug both Coughlin and Capers had the same problem. Not to mention Belechick in his first stint with the Browns.

My take is that Dungy is a "pretty good" coach but make no mistake about it, Tampa didn't win it all until they got rid of him.

Now he leads the best team in football to a one and done playoffs again.

Good guy, class act, not a winner.

My biggest complaint with BP is that he didn't fully clean house when he got here....he kept Zimmer.

Well, I think Dungy is overrated and will definitely never win a championship- and as for anybody picking the Steelers in this game I did and I'm picking them to win the whole shebang.

Hopefully Parcells will take that into consideration before going through his annual retirement tease.

Same with the AFC teams. If Carolina wins, we will have played three of the four finalists. We beat Carolina, lost to Seattle on a last-second field goal and lost to Denver on an overtime field goal.

BP's days of being a great coach are over - they ended the moment that he lost his great staff. No man can do it all alone - you need good helpers - he does not have them right now and he has been unable to recruit any here during the past three years.

I think he has done a reasonable job about turning around the general direction of this floundering franchise. I do not think he can completely turn it around at this stage of his career.

I just hope he doesn't handicap this franchise by signing a bunch of old BP-type guys to ridiculous front-loaded contracts that his predecessor will have to deal with. He showed some serious hints at this last offseason with Rivera (very bad signing) and Ferguson (mildly bad signing - poor production per cap dollar invested).

I realize that you are just using a popular phrase of the day, but I have to vent because I am sick of this phrase "haters." If you think about it I bet you would agree that all of the "haters" of Parcells (or Bledsoe, another one people love to use that phrase with) are just people voicing their critical opinions. You would have to agree these critical opinions vary from slightly critical to over-the-top. But to just label everyone who says anything negative with this phrase "haters" is to be simplistic and unfair. Like I said I know it is just a popular word and it is easy, but think about it please.

I love Dungy & Herm... but not as head coaches...

I think Peyton's the problem. He was losing playoff games when Mora was there.
