For as much as the defense gets blamed

All 4 of our losses have been more about our offense sputtering and self destructing. Offense is the side of the ball where we've decided to pump the majority of our resources into. 100 million dollar QB with as much of a QB friendly supporting cast as you can possibly have in the salary cap era. But we all want to blame the defense because they don't have nearly the amount of resources or talent when our offense puts up 10 points on thanksgiving... Right...

No question the offense deserves censure. Romo was awful vs. Philly. 3/5's of the offensive line was bad.

The offensive gameplan and execution vs. Washington and Arizona was faulty.

That being said the offense saved the defense's bacon in the last Giant game and the defense was just as awful vs. Philly. The last two games have been one 80-yard drive after another vs. the defense.

I don't think the defense has under-performed. If anything I think they have played above their talent level. If they get turnovers they win...if they don't get turnovers they lose. That's tough way to live in NFL. According to my estimates Dallas has 6-7 starters on defense who would be back-ups on a playoff caliber defense. I also agree the offense has been mauled twice against divisional opponents.

Nice try but it was a total fail. That QB is top five in QBR and has brought us back numerous times this season in the second half to win games. But if you're curious, check out the bottom five QB's who make a lot less money - maybe you'd be happy with one of them. There's a reason why people get paid in this league.

Lastly, the 100 million dollar thing is a joke. Most intelligent fans know he's never going to get that. Please be better.

Unless that QBR from the previous games puts points on the board in December who cares?! He played horrible Thursday when the chips where on the table, yet low and behold here's another chance for Tony to prove doubters wrong. The December gorilla is here, and it isn't going anywhere if he plays like he did Thursday.

In 3 of the Cowboys 4 losses the defense has gotten them behind early. The Cowboys have had to play from behind in most of their games this season. Part of the reason is the offense lacks explosiveness due to committing to the run and the other part is the defense giving up early first possession TD's. In the last 3 games the Cowboys D allowed JAX, Giants and Philly to score first possession TD's.

The Cowboys have a conservative run first offense that doesn't take a lot of shots down the field. I said prior to the start of the season if the plan is to run the ball the defense has to step up or the Cowboys will be playing from behind all season. You can't allow teams to jump on you early forcing you to play from behind in Dec crunch games.

I dont study film like some do on here. But we seem to have one of the most basic offenses in the league. There was one third down they showed from behind Romo it looked like there was 2 WR in routes and both were straight go routes. Not sure who to blame but we have always seem to struggle making adjustments when a team loads the box and brings pressure

Dallas gave up 168 yrds in its first 2 drives and made adjustments. The score was 14-7 after the first 4 drives. Dallas offense then ran 10 plays for 28 yrds the rest of the half. Sti;; Dallas was going into the half 20-7 and had the ball with over a minute left, beasley fumbles and its 23-7. 2nd half dallas ran 31 plays for 141 yrds. Had 2 drives over 5 plays and one ended in a tony romo int. Offense lost this game. Defense started bad but kept them in the game.

It was too funny watching the D catch the wrong ball carrier when the Iggles ran the option. TOO funny !!!

Yes, the offense has had issues the last month. We are all aware. But the reason we got to the 6-1 record was because of the offense. We were converting 3rd downs at a historical rate to keep the defense off the field.

It is kind of demoralizing when the defense lets the Eagles take the ball to start the game and smash it right down their throat. Offense can't score the next drive and they let them go right down again and score with ease. Down 14-0 before you can even blink. yes they may have held to FGs later in the game but those 2 drives set the tone of the game.

We don't have a defense to carry this team if our offense is out of sync.

Oh, I don't absolve the offense. Romo and the two guards, were especially bad.

Okay fair enough - so let's see how he does in December if the defense can keep us in games but at least let it play out first.

watching the packers run offense and they do so many different things ,i bet they run more different formations in one game then we do an entire season.

Yep. We have the most predictable offense out there. It's been the same since Garrett was here as the OC. We rely on our receivers winning one on one matchups. That's it. We do nothing to exploit the defense. If you can knock us out of sync, you will shut us down. We always just take what the defense gives us, never actually try and attack and exploit their defense. Our routes seem to be so slow developing as well.
