Claiborne isn't having any fun. That's his problem. He seems unmotivated. He wasn't the top 10 pick for nothing. Everybody loved this guy. Somebody has to motivate this guy!

Do you know how many top 10 busts there have been in the draft? Tons. Some guys just don't pan out. And so far, he has been terrible. Nothing to do with motivation. He just is not that good and he played on a very good team and he looked better than he really was. Plus back then, the SEC was all 3 yards and a cloud of dust offenses. Which was easy to play DB against.

This is Carter's last season. Ware has 2 years max. Claiborne might get a 2nd contract, but the way he's played so far, I doubt it.

He'll get one, it just might not be huge. They invested too much on draft day to let him run away.

As for the thread: Dez, Tyron, and Claiborne are the logical choice.

Sorry but I would bet money that only Tyron will be with us then. Gun to my head tho I go with Tyron, Dez, and Claiborne
Tyrone - It's self evident how good he is and teams never have and never will let franchise LT's go.
Dez - he's phenomenally gifted and if his back holds up he will be our number 1 for a long time (depends on his price tag tho.).
Claiborne - It may have taken him longer to develop than we had hoped but you can see his talent. I believe he only gets better plus he hasn't played himself into a super payday.

Same 3 for me. Murray is too brittle, I'd be surprised if Ware is still in the league by then, and Claiborne needs to really turn things around before then.

People busting on Claiborne can't really point to his bad play. If you ask for evidence you'll get a few plays from the opener and maybe a couple against SD, and then nothing. His absence when hurt was the biggest problem with the D last season (on an individual basis, obviously the entire line being beat up is worse).
