What the hell? Does anyone here think that every poster here isn't aware of the up and down tendencies of this team or that this is just one game?

Yes, it is just one game but the only game won against an opponent with a winning record and it was a must win game for them.

They won without a great showing from the skill position players except for the 2 RB's and forgive me but getting the OL right and those 2 RB's is what a playoff run is all about.

There's no need to caution posters on a high, what's wrong with letting them enjoy the high in a very high and low season? This is exactly what makes the optimists defensive, they can't even enjoy it when they are right.

I know some want to be that "other shoe" poster, the "told ya so" in advance but just for once try believing in Santa instead of trying to tell all of the kids that believe that he not only isn't real if he was, he'd steal the presents, not deliver them.

Don't you want to be happy? Can't you just accept this happiness even though you might think it's temporary? We've all got a lot of time, and some, money, invested in this season why not enjoy a dividend even if it is short lived?

It would be a lot easier if there wasn't a lot of call out threads and SB talk and extending Garrett threads after one win. It was a nice win.
I get that but some posters have been looking for a pulse, signs of life and they got that big time yesterday.

Some have given the team up for dead and don't like resurrecting them. It is also admission that they were wrong, if this level of play is extended.

Some are so over Garrett, they can't stand anything that might keep him in Dallas. He can get to the NFCCG and they want him gone.

100 %. This is all pure entertainment. We control nothing over what this franchise does. We can only watch and hope. Nobody truly knows what's going to happen. People will come here claiming they know what is gonna happen because "dumb theory" but the truth is. NOBODY knows what the Cowboys will do this season. So why not just enjoy the win and hope for more. Is that really so hard to do?

If he gets to the NFCCG or SB I'd keep him. That's about the only way I'd do it but I wouldn't extend him no more than 2 years.

If he gets that far, Booger will reward him with more than that.

That game yesterday is what Booger's all about because he's the eternal optimist and they get called out a lot. The performance of that team, the best so far this season, was exactly what he was looking for to give him hope he can keep the status quo and that is exactly what many fear.

Aikman made an interesting comment about Garrett, which could have been said of Booger as well, about his unwavering optimism and consistency to that end. He's consistent, his team isn't, so much for teams reflecting the personality of the HC.

If he does get extended then I will suggest to posters what I did years ago to remain a fan of this team, avoid him as much as you can. I do that with Booger and it's been harder this year because he's worse than an insomniac Kardashian, I struggle to avoid exposure to him and it does take work, especially here.

I am enjoying it. I tell everyone that the offseason is long. The losses suck so I enjoy the wins. I was enjoying it when it was against crappy teams. People saying yeah we won but it was against a bad team. I don’t care, it’s a win.

This game was awesome. Kept waiting for us to go flat and let them come back. But we kept the pressure on. Was a good time..

glimmeister. we must take our happiness when it presents itself and not worry about the next hour, day, Sunday, week, etc.

Considering where some thought this team would be this season and a lot of that talent talk was coming form analysts as well, seeing that game yesterday was what they imagined. For me, it was a throwback game like BUF-PIT last night. It was team ball, slugging it out in the trenches and I really enjoyed that.

Problem is a lot of people have difficulty compartmentalizing.

"How can you be happy about this win if it means we might be closer to keeping Garrett?" That kind of thing.

My response to that is if Garrett can get us to the NFCCG why do I care? If he can't get us there, then good-bye. 10 years is long enough.

I'm a Cowboys fan. I'm happy when we win a game. Especially a game like this one against the Rams.

Besides. I believe a lot of people that post on this board are fans of other teams and they just love to torture us.

Don't feed into it. Do what YOU want.

No , some fans can’t because of ulterior motives and agendas created on this forum whether its Dak or Garrett, etc.

The rest of us placing winning games and making the playoffs above all else. And why this forum like our last one is all too often Fake from a segment.

If we have enough success to support resigning Dak and Garrett much of this forum will come unglued . Lol

I watch which members( I’m not sure I’d call them all fans) who are more prevalent with their rhetoric when we win or lose. Clearly exposing their agendas.

I’m not always sure who’s worse the Trolls or the Homers but I’d lean towards the Trolls cause at least we know the Homers are Cowboy fans. The Trolls is often harder to detect whether they’re disgruntled Cowboy fans or opposing fans posing as Cowboy fans.

For some, squarely on Garrett's toe.
I truly thought Garrett was all but gone and it was looking like he was ready to leave. I was critical for Jerry not going ahead pulling the plug if it was inevitable.

But Jerry was outraged at the thought of having to replace Jason and kept him with the hope he could salvage enough to resign him.

And I’m beginning to believe winning division might be enough. And it might only be a 1 or 2 year extension. But I truly don’t think he needs to reach championship game for an extension. Now it might not be a very long extension like reaching a SB would bring but Jerry definitely doesnt want to cut loose. Jerry has no Plan B.

If the ones that have threatened to leave the team if he's extended do leave, the ones left will be able to have their own forums.

It’s bad luck to put your shoes under the bed, just sayin....
