For kicks and gigs, lets say Romo is a mid first round value

And we are picking late in the first

Would you rather trade him for a mid first outright

Or trade him in a swap of first rounders to a team in the top 5?

I know I know, we cant trade Romo in a million thousand evers. But my thread, my rules

It depends on who is available in the draft and our grade on them. Right now I think it would be better to have two picks rather than 1 so I would want to keep our pick and take their pick. Romo is worth more than that though.

The draft value chart says the top 5 pick is worth more though.

It's basically the same based on the trade chart.

#16 - 1000 points

#32 - 590 points

#6 - 1600 points

#5 - 1700 points

FYI - They can easily trade Romo after the season.

Which you rather have? A Mid and late for round or one early one

It's hard to say and somewhat depends on the specific draft. In 2016 there was not a huge difference between #6 and #16, IMO. The Cowboys would likely trade down if they had #1 or #2 assuming those are going to be QBs.

To me the question would be where does Myles Garrett go. If you could package Romo and your 1st for a swap that would net him, I would do that. There isnt another I can right now who would worth that and I would take the additional firsr
