Santonio Holmes is going to go off. What a great FA pickup by the Jets... I think we can strike similar gold this off-season. The new regime has my optimism meter off the charts.

He was traded.

Still a "pickup" persay.. (& a ridiculously good one) The Jets capitalized on the Steelers reluctance to deal with what they perceived as a potential problem. Good on ya Jets..

We will capitalize on a couple via FA (or trade).

How are you a FA pickup if you were traded? And he was traded because he was becoming a headache. Steelers sure don't seem to be missing him. It was a nice trade by the Jets but he was a headache. He was getting arrested virtually every year.

I'd like to hope that the Cowboys don't take any similar risks this off-season. It hasn't cost the Jets YET but I don't want Jerry signing or trading for anyone who simply doesn't care about the law.

They'll take a chance if the benefits equate to or outweigh the risks. Book it.

Let me correct myself once more for the mensas... trade not FA. My bad mensas!

Santonio Holmes notched 52 catches for 746 yards and 6 TD in his first 12 games with the Jets.

How did that theory go from Roy Williams apologists saying receivers need time to gel with their QBs and that we shouldn't hold Roy's first couple of seasons against him?

Don't get me started on what Patrick Crayton did with the Chargers, despite having a completely new QB, no training camp and no playbook to study...

It's amazing what good route running can do.

but he is a great blocker :D

Seems like Holmes drops a lot of balls. Then he also makes some outrageous catches, and makes big plays in big games.

He gets the ball thrown correctly his way,” Williams said. “I’m stretching and falling and doing everything. Everybody ]who’s been here’s balls are there. Our footballs from Romo to Williams are everywhere right now

So who’s at fault? Well, if Romo is on the same page with all of the other wideouts and he isn’t on the same page with the guy who has underachieved from the moment he arrived we think it’s safe to say that Williams might be the problem

Waaahhh. Hysterical. Williams had horrific practice habits in Detroit and probably has brought those to Dallas. Anyone who has watched him this year sees a terrible route runner who hates going over the middle

Did you ever stop to think the problem is you, Roy? You’re lazy, you don’t run half your routes to completion, and the times you run the full route, it’s usually wrong

but it takes him three years to get in sync with Romo

Its always someone else fault with RW

a career underachiever is all he'll ever be
