I'm no draft expert so there probably are differences but I can't get past this comparison.

What about him reminds you of Richardson? Richardson failed because he didn't have poor vision. He had no vision. Ive been critical of Jeanty but he has exceptional vision.

If Trent Richardson tried to run from Texas to California, he'd run right into the back of Tennessee

I can see him not being worth the pick due to positional value and typically short shelf life of RBs, but it's hard to picture him as a bust for me. He has incredible conact balance, reminds me a lot of Kamara in that way, great vision, can catch the ball, can pass block, can run guys over or run around them.

His biggest knock to me is that he doesn't have elite long speed, he's not slow though and has good acceleration. I think his floor outside of injury is Josh Jacobs.

Remember Bama used to sub him out after a few carries

The problem with Trent was never ability. The problem was that he was essentially a lazy guy who needed a Saban like coach to kick him in the rear. He never got that in the NFL. Never worked hard and gained a bunch of weight early in his career that made him slow and unable to hit the holes he did in college.

If you’re going Rb round one you may as well go Wr T McMillian . Chunk yards YAC opens up the passing game and gives Lamb a receiving threat that takes pressure off him .

6’5” downfield weapon pair him with a new OC snd HC in Dallas while your working to get 60 million to work out be worth it . Can’t help but be beneficial to Dak.

Draft a running back down further or here’s a thought Aaron Jones someone like him at 7 million along with Dowdle and for goodness sakes use Leupke

Trent Richardson was 5’9” 225 that’s where the OP sees the Ashton Jeanty comparison . You have the Eagles always tough with now a Commanders team with competent leadership .

The Cowboys have to strike gold in this draft and not Trent Richardson . Go FA and find an effective compliment to Dowdle or possibly round 3 ..

We have heard the exact opposite with Jeanty, hard worker, team leader, excellent character

Been advocating from the start I don’t want a 1st rd back, but many continue to try to find holes with Jeanty just cause they don’t want a running back that high. He is going to be a star, players just don’t put those numbers up and bust out. Many will point to his competition, but LT, Faulk did the same.

Let me remind everyone, 2 years ago great running back class and the cowboys were going to wait to draft one, they ended up with Duece. If a good one is there, pull the trigger

We lack a number 2 wide receiver in a big big way. You can always figure a way to take away a number 1 WO if there is nothing to fear from the number 2 WO. Look at what Washington did with Mike Evans the other night. He was killing them until Washington double teamed him and Tampa had no number 2.

Give us a excellent number two WO and a decent TE and you might have something.

Just like that Auburn back Lacy who ate himself out of the NFL

Was there a gps reading on Jeanty this season? I havent heard anything about his speed one way or another, other than he looks football fast to me. You dont rack up 2k yards without some kind of speed.
