I like the trade because it gives us a year to watch JJones and FAdams. If they falter, we draft a RB and OT in the first next year.

What you have to think of, is we wanted to get an impact player if we traded up...all of them were gone when Peterson went to Minnesota

Then, you have to think, was the talent at 22 a lot better than what we could find at the bottom of the 1st or early 2nd?

You have heard a lot of people say that the talent from 20-35 was around the same.

We could still find a quality player.

Dallas still has picks left and good players are left. duh!

We have a good, not great team, a team that should contend for a playoff spot this season. We don't have many, if any, glaring needs. So why not trade down to the top of the 2nd round, a selection that is only 4 slots out of the first round. In turn, we receive a likely top 10 pick next year, or a surefire top 20 pick which means you are potential playoff team with 2 #1's next year. I can't see one negative to this deal other than Jerry is making the selections.
