First, if this needs to be moved please do so....

Just got off a phone with a buddy in mine who lives in East Texas and he said from Dallas all the way east ,the major networks (Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC) are in a fight with the Texas cable company Time Warner. He jumped the gun fast and switched to a satellite immediately so that he wouldn't miss any football, especially Cowboys games....Just wondering if this is going to effect any of you as well. All they play out here is Seahawk and Niner games, so I live on the Sunday ticket. From what I understand, all the games on the Ticket will still go on..

I dont live in texas but I listen to Texas Sports radio (ima a die hard) but I know they may be losing CBS and that will affect the Dallas AFC games, however the NFC games are on Fox an as far as I know Fox is not being lost.

If you're still paying for over priced cable in 2013 you need a wake up call.

Yesterday TWC dropped CBS and Showtime. There may be other small networks that were dropped as well. This could impact watching Cowboys games if it is on CBS and this issue has not been resolved.

This is what a TWC customer sees when going to their CBS channel

If they live in Dallas they still could pick up CBS over-the-air. Like they did in ancient tv times. Although satellite is a great option if it doesn't conflict with your internet options as well.

Yea CBS has been dropped and not really a problem for me, checked signal yesterday when it happened and I'm good. If you have TWC in Dallas I'd suggest checking out your reception since preseason games are on CBS.

It's free OVER THE AIR, but it is not free to companies that provide entertainment television. They have to pay for the right to obtain and transmit the signal. The OTA is actually required I do believe.. and plus, I'm sure they make money off the advertisements from all the intelligent people who have dropped having to pay $100 a month to watch television. I split my DirecTV and still pay $52 a month.
