The only 2 that aren't are Belicheat and Carroll.

Hey did you know that out of 25 coaches with their first team, 15 of them didn't even make the playoffs?

The 2002, 2004, 2005 Patriots and Bill Belichick
The 2003 Buccaneers and Jon Gruden
The 2007 Colts and Tony Dungy
The 2008 Giants and Tom Coughlin

Vermiel had a long stint between HC jobs. Belichick and Coughlin also had quite a few years between the HC jobs. Where Dungy and Gruden did not have time between jobs.

You also noticed none of them won a SB at their first location only one made it to the SB and he lost that SuperBowl

Its a terrible point. The sample size of coaches who won a SB and then went to another team is ridiculously small, and not enough to make any kind of hiring decision on like this.

If he's truly basing his decision of off that number of candidates, he's a bigger fool than first thought.

Maybe that should be compared to the number of coordinators who flamed out after becoming head coaches?

I bet the number is greater than 12.
