so if you release a veteran player in an uncapped season do you still owe him his guarantee money thats left on his contract? then when there is a new deal will there money still count on the next cap.

Players that are dumped in an uncapped year will be free agents that playoff teams can go after without the restrictions.

Let me most likely be one of the few Cowboy fans that does NOT want an uncapped season.

And for the record I dont think we're going to have an uncapped season. I think it will get worked out.

there is very little chance we go into next year uncapped.

too many players and owners would be hurt by that.

good teams... i.e. most teams with some money would be hindered in free agency and the vast majority of the league had less than 6 years experience. Add in the fact teams can then each block 2 additional players with MORE Than 6 years free agency and well, there would be next to no movement of star caliber guys. And if a guy isn't star caliber there won't be any bank-breaking for him. Teams understand they will eventually have to live in a cap world again soon.

i absolutely believe the NFL will punish if not out and out limit teams from cutting guys to dump big contracts as well.

So they are the same thing?

making the second round, so yes.
wade was made fun of but he did get the team to the second round of the playoffs.
it was typical honestly and a simplistic take but yes the NFL seems to agree with him.
