For those that had the faith...

There's just something special about Romo, you know, he's just different than most qb's you see for most teams. Dallas might have finally found a true successor to Aikman.

well, how convenient - we'll never know if he could have done this from the start, will we?

sucks when you only allow specuation for your own views.

in any event, i'm glad to see a young qb playing well - i hope he can keep it up.

No what sucks is you can't admit the err of your ways. So it's killin' ya Parcells did it the right way, toooooo bad. One less thing to hate on I guess.
(don't worry big fella, I'm sure BP will cut a 4th string TE sometime soon to give ya something to whine on)

And there's not a thing convenient about it, I, along with others, stood strong behind this belief for a couple of years now.

Only an idiot would think an undrafted FA QB from E Illinois would have just lit it up like this had he just been tossed to the wolves.

But hey, CROW GOOD YUM, right?

I think I went on record saying having a QB that can spread the ball around and find the open man is huge. :)

I admit I was one of the ones who thought it was over at 14-0....it looked like there was basically no hope

they hung tough, got back in it..had a few good breaks...overcame what seemed like mysterious penalty after mysterious penalty and opened up a can of you know what in the 2nd half on a pretty fair Carolina team on the road

good job

David

What??? A positive post from Mr. Bair?

I think the Cowboys caught Carolina napping; the Panthers thought the Boys had rolled over and died.

The Boys are still making too many mistakes; too many penalties and the Panthers dropped a couple interception opportunities and way too many passes.

You guys are wanting to induct Romo into the HOF after one game??? Idiots!

There! I said it for you Mr. Bair.

Let's see what they do the next three games! Then we'll know what they are this year.

you funny round eye. the anger you let live inside you comes out in times like this, doesn't it? hey, i'm wrong a lot and people have seen me admit it time and again. you ever give it a shot or are you always right, yet you deflect that attitude to me cause you don't care for my "politics"?

are you now claiming to be a prophit and you think *any* qb brought up this way will work? this is the ONLY way to make a qb work? again, it's so wonderful you allow yourself all the speculation in the world yet, none for anyone else. do you think all else are blind to how you post and your "anger" towards me, jack?

only an idiot would keep coming after 1 person so angry all the time and think no one else can see their "agenda".

i could well be wrong and parcells could well have been right. yay team and hopefully he *was* right and hopefully we do now have a qb of the future. while i'm optimistic, i'm also not ready to give him the keys for the next 10 years but i sure hope we get the rest of this year to see how well he does in games.

then again, wasn't i the one who said it was idiotic to get a qb like bledsoe and NOT build a great line to put around him?

i was a fool 18 months ago for thinking that and now wow - bledsoe, mr on his way to the hall of fame - was benched because we didn't have a line to protect him.

seems there are times i'm right also, jack. care to admit that or would that hurt your "god i hate iceberg" parade you've always got going on, making you look like an obsessed fool?

i don't know why it means so much to you that i must be wrong with every breathe i take, jack. all i can think is that like i said, you're one angry dude and being "right" seems to mean more than cheering for the same team with people you may or may not care for individually.

you can keep the crow, jack, cause like i've said - we'll just never know if romo could have started last year, will we?

well you will because that's the way jack wants it.

sorry, i don't let speculation only happen to ONE side of an argument.

in the meantime, here's to hoping romo can keep this up and hopefully we have finally left the qb carosel behind us and we can focus on other areas.

like the OL that i was so wrong about also, right? like why i was mad about polite being cut - NOT because of him but because we brought in ANOTHER FREAKING LB - you seem to leave off my real reasons for things so you can make crap up - i'd ask why but to be honest, i don't care. it's just your hate coming apart at the seems.

keep the hate alive, jack. it fits you. : )

Who knows what the future holds, could get worse, could get better. But there is one thing for sure, that did not look like a QB that has been strictly holding a clipboard for 3 years. That did not look like a QB that just sported a visor and played golf, or wasn't being brought along, albeit a different way.

Nope, you just don't walk onto a football field and play QB in the NFL without proper training, without patience, without attention to details. You don't play QB in the NFL the Jerry Jones scattershot way.

Romo played this way tonight because of the way he was coached, and not in spite of it.

For those who didn't see it all along, for those who lacked the patience, for those who didn't have at least an inkling something could be happening in a different way, well, sucks to be you I guess. Perhaps you can come out of that self inflicted agony and relish that, omg, Parcells did this the right way.

And for those that believed, reap your reward, your hopes paid off tonight, and if you're waiting for the rest to man up and admit they were wrong all along, don't waste your time....they're just not worth it, let them wallow in their hate and despair.

aren't you also the one saying you couldn't tell anything in 3 meaningless games at the end of a season but OH HOLY HELL!!!! 1 good game told you all you need to know to go serve up some "Crow" to those who dared to disagree with you, huh?

your hypocracy knows no bounds, jack.

I'll always believe that if your still in the running you have a chance. I do think too many give up too quickly after a loss. The NFL is a long season and a lot of things are going to happen between now and the end of the season. Some teams who look unbeatable now will look very beatable down the line and others who started off struggling well some will get it turned around and be in the thick of it at the end. I say this because it happens every year.

It can't get worse then Drew and the better news is Romo is guy with a true QB mind... smart, leader, calm, accurate. he'll take some lumps but it hasn't felt this good as a cowboy fan since '95 to be honest. even that last superbowl was bittersweet as we all knew the dynasty was crumbling and drew-like INTs handed us the lombardi vs pitt.

I want to count all the Talking Heads who totally slammed us all week:

Eddie George on FSN Pro Football Weekly said Bill Parcells act was getting old. Said Dalls was a mediocre team. Hhhm, I wonder why he would say that.

NFL Sunday Countdown: They all picked against us (except the Playmaker, of course ... I can't wait for him to tell them all about it).

Sporting News: Said we would get blown out.

NFL Total Access - Rich Eisen & Marshall Faulk ... I guess those little smirks, sniggling and giggling can hold off for another week.

Nope. I didn't say that. In fact, I said it could....but to me....it just didn't matter one way or another, and it was no big deal. Yep, that's what I said alright, that is until your revisionism set in. Status quo for you.

Your politics mean nothing to me. I've said as much. I still have what I said to you. Saved it for times like this when you make up your stuff. Here's part of the PM- "I was never against your 'political leanings' as you stated in your recent post to Martens, it was your 'political tactics'." I have the entire thing if you'd like to revisit it. Or not, cuz I know it's easier for you to live in that fantasy land.

Did I claim to be a prophet? Nope, your words again. What did I do? It's all documented, I've said all along and there's no denying it. I've said the people who need to see him are. I've said he's been being brought along slowly, out of our radar, out from under the nose of all those 'must see for myself people'. I've said it for a couple years now. Are you denying I've held this position? Are you denying that I've said he'll play when the time was right, or BP felt he was ready?

Are you denying that your position was BP was not developing a QB? Are you denying you've said you HAD to see it for yourself? That he HAD to play to get the game speed conditions?

Yet you claim I believe there is only one sure fire way to develop a QB. Unreal as your claim, especially in these recent posts where I've clearly stated that this way was 'different'. Denying that's there? Such a lost soul.

Notice your bringing on the hate mantra again(funny from someone who's byline has 'hate' in it). Boy was that ever predictable: Paragraph 5 - http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1104804&postcount=198

Now, back to your deep underworld funk you love to bask in, where all things suck. Sorry Romo didn't suck for you last night. We all know you were ready to pounce and rant and rave like you did in here the first half of the Texans game. Must be so disappointing no to have anything to whine about today, but like I said, keep your head up, I'm sure a 4th stringer will be released soon and you can whine about that for 10 pages.

I literally felt ripped in half after Bledsoe's interception in the endzone on Monday night. I did think we had something in Romo, but I wasn't sure.

I wanted to turn it off after it was 14 to nothing but my body wouldn't allow me to.

your delusions know no boundaries, jack.

when romo hit the field for the 1st time, did you miss my glowing happiness in my postings that we were FINALLY "going young" again at qb? seems so.

did you miss where i've told you TIME AND TIME AGAIN i don't care about cutting polite in as much as we had to go sign another LB? yes, you did so you can keep the hate alive. you're the one now saying i'm gonna whine about one thing when i've flat told you my "whine" was geared in another direction.

why do you not care about those little facts, jack? why do you push aside what i directly say you can put some "twist" around it?

my "mantra" about keeping the hate alive is about the media and their reckless pursuit of TO and demonizing anything he does - NOTHING about you or whatever else you're making up.

but since facts of what i do say fly by you like common sense seems to, whatever jack.

PM me and take this offline. i'm pretty sure the rest of the forum doesn't care about why you hate me so much.

and no jack, i'm not denying any of it. i've said time and again i could well be wrong, like many fans are, in how this works.

are you denying you ever saw me post that so you can "keep the hate alive"?

when you want to calm down and talk rationally, i'm here. as long as you want to rant and rave and scream bloody murder, i just don't care to address anything you say - cause as you can see, i've told you time and again why i didn't like polite being cut - because we brought in ANOTHER LB. yet all YOU will say is that i whine because we cut some 4th stringer.

and funny, if we have 1 FB, can he be a 4th string FB? even your lies about what i've said don't make any sense, jack.

damn facts.

I've always believed in Romo and no level of disbelief will faze me. Romo is the future and the future of the franchise has just began to take hold. This is only the beginning. I stand by 6-3 coming home from this road trip. This was the pivotal game and we went out and played like I know we can. My hat's off to everyone else that believed as well. It's time to put some heavy duty wheels on the Romo wagon. It's going to get shoulder to shoulder on here. ;)

Dang straight. Yes. Read link.

Damn facts right. Point out to all of us I said anything about a 4th string FB. Waiting. Waiting. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you can't can you.

You're incredible. I make a post, you chime in, and I'm attacking you. Good grief, talk about paranoid. They're coming to take you away!

Act is old Hayes. Oh whatever happened to your 'respect this board too much' to carry on as you do?

Sorry I thumped your old claim of 'your politics' thingy too. I knew you'd ignore that when the facts were presented. Boohoo.

The issue has never been about right and wrong. The difference between the 2 of us is you whine like an old woman. Constantly. Continuously. Like sands in the hour glass, so are the whines of Jerry. Whine in the morning. Whine in the evening. And now you're wrong, and you whine about that too. Heck, you whine about whining!

For your sake, I hope Romo sucks next week, you could go off the deep end if you have nothing to whine about. But like I actually said, "I'm sure a 4th stringer will be released soon and you can whine about that for 10 pages."
Look it up, the truth will set you free.

BTW, while you're 'respecting this board' you'll note the rules are unless you have something to add to the subject posted, don't post it. Between that and your 'arse wipe' comments last week(violation of circumventing the language filter), you should have been banned.

There are those here relishing and enjoying last night's game. Climb aboard, or go back to your whine cellar.
