Brady leads Pats to Duel in Dallas win
Updated: October 11, 2007 7:14:32 PM PDT
The New England Patriots made sure that the Dallas Cowboys would not mistake them for the Buffalo Bills, pounding the Cowboys 41-10 in front of a stunned crowd in Irving, Texas.
After their nearly impossible win in Buffalo last week, the Cowboys were quickly staggered by quarterback Tom Brady, who led the Patriots to a first-possession score when he connected with Randy Moss for a 12-yard touchdown. The Patriots never let up as Brady found Moss again in the first quarter, and later hit tight end Ben Watson and wide receiver Donte' Stallworth for touchdowns. Before the Cowboys could blink they were trailing 31-0 at halftime.
Dallas quarterback Tony Romo's rut continued, throwing three interceptions to accompany his 264 yards. Romo's lone bright spot came by way of a 7-yard touchdown to wide receiver Patrick Crayton in the third quarter. Romo was no match for Brady, who finished the day with 254 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. Terrell Owens led all receivers with 103 yards, but wasn't much of a factor in the end.
