I see so many of you wringing your hands assuming wins and losses by the Cowboys and the other NFC contenders. While it is fine to discuss it on a message board, it is almost an exercise in futility. Last year we were 3 and 5 and appeared to be headed straight in the crapper and then went 7 and 1 he rest of the way.

The Vikings just lost to a backup QB that wasn’t even in the league until he got the call from KC. I’m just using that as an example that this league is hard to predict.

The Eagles have an easier schedule but you just can’t assume wins and losses. It would be easy for the Eagles to pitch a bad game or two and lose a game they should win.

The Cowboys seem to play best with their backs against the wall. I am expecting the Cowboys to show well the rest of the way.

Although I don’t like Michael Bennett, that could be a really beneficial trade for the Cowboys. It may really help on pass rushing, especially on 3rd down. This one could really help the defense.

Lol. You guys are so dramatic. We will probably win a SB when no one expects us to.

I haven’t expected us to win a superbowl since 2007 and before that i hadn’t expected 1 since the 98 season

Prepare for your expectations to be underwhelmed. I really hope that Jets lose embarrassed them enough to push through the rest of the season... but I can’t say it has.

we won the next game....so how you figure that?

Hopefully the players (not the coaches) decided to fire themselves up. That loss was so terrible I would be embarrassed beyond comprehension. Hopefully it embarrassed them enough to carry that momentum into the Eagles game.

We’ll see if it continues tomorrow.

Against the Giants might not be the biggest test of that theory. I just hope they bring their best game against every team.

Start losing again and then see what a poor teammate Bennett is. He's not a guy that bottles up his emotions. He will point fingers in the locker room with the best of them. I don't see this season working out as you do.

I am not a fan of Bennett the man at all but he does have some skills. He will only be here about 12 more games so maybe we will get a 12 game honeymoon period with him.

He is also a free agent after this year so maybe that will extend the honeymoon period a few weeks.

And yet none of that really matters as long as we make the playoffs.

I’m not saying the season is over and there’s no hope. Cowboys can definitely still win the division.

those losses certainly do matter though. Being the 1 or 2 seed and getting a bye week is a huge advantage in the playoffs. The chance for a bye week most likely waved goodbye when the team lost 3 straight.

We don't have enough invested in Bennett for him to destroy the locker room. His walking papers are pre-written, just need to be signed if necessary.
