The inclusions of Te'o and Romo are comical as neither have outwardly done anything to warrant idislike. Te'o was the VICTIM of a cruel internet hoax. By all accounts he's a class kid of sterling character. Romo has always conducted himself with class. He may be over-hyped but that's not his fault. He's simply a cog in the 24/7 media machine that thrives on conflict.

I think people underestimate this aspect. We (the hardcore fans) see and hear about Romo being a film rat. But to the casual fan he's still the guy who went to Cabo on the bye week before a playoff game.

My take on why Romo is on the list.

He's perceived as a failed Tom Brady (who is hated out of jealousy, but at least he's got three rings.)

Like A-Rod, he can't win the big one (well A-Rod finally did), but at least Romo is not viewed as a narcissistic rich boy on PEDs.

Not exactly fair, but that's why Romo has haters.
