THose other great players are usually taken by good teams. Dallas always ends up being late to the party and ends up chasing a position because they drafted a position they didn't need. You wait they will draft a wide receiver with that 12 pick and then they'll be chasing the running back position.

Rd3: Throw a dart
Rd4-7: ok now lets start to pay attention because the draft is almost over

2nd round is my favorite pick in the class as that’s usually where you have the biggest sliders for whatever reason. (not just the medical / character guys).

I wish we didn’t suck in the 2nd so bad but maybe this is our year to redeem ourselves!

I just hope and pray they take less 'shots' on injured players who 'would've been a 1st rounder'. but the OP is 100% accurate. There will be pet projects for the coaches and pet projects for the scouts. Some scheme guys who will be off the team in two years when we change schemes etc.
