We know Zeke is a stud. We know Dak is a stud. We know the offensive line is ridiculous. But let's face it, success in the playoffs will be determined by the defense.

I'm not saying our defense has to win games but they must play well enough not to lose them, and playoffs are a different story than regular season. Quarterbacks play better, receivers don't drop as many passes, and things tighten up. This defense still needs help, and without Mo we will be at a serious disadvantage once the opposition offensive skill level increases. Even with Mo this defense will be hard pressed to keep us in games.

Do you all feel like Mo is gonna be back? It must seems like injuries with him last forever. I'd be a little surprised if we see him on the field again this year. Any thoughts?

For all he's gone through already and all the things he might do going forward, my most fervent hopes include Mo's return very soon. He's been among the most valuable players we have had the pleasure of observing this season, at long last. I'm pulling for him like crazy. I'm pretty sure he'll be doing everything in his power to rehab, heal quickly and return ASAP this year.

I hope you all are right, I love what he's brought this year. I haven't heard anything, positive or negative, regarding his condition,so I'm assuming no news is bad news. Had anyone heard differently?

I agree. Just don't want him rushing back and getting hurt worse. Heal him up bring him back the last couple games of the season to get game speed back. Then the bye week we should have and presto our backfield is much improved.

They're evaluating him pretty closely, haha obviously. Unless something unexpected happens, and he needs surgery, you can expect him back against the Giants Dec. 11 or the Bucs December 18. Kinda up in the air right now.

Expect possible surgery in the offseason.

He'll be back this year from everything we've heard.
What have we heard exactly? I feel the front office has been vague and no word of any form of a timetable is discouraging, imo. Did I miss something?

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said CB Morris Claiborne (groin) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

The timetable suggests Claiborne does not need surgery on what is reported to be a sports hernia. The Cowboys have been surprisingly good against the pass this season, but they lost both Claiborne and S Barry Church to injury Sunday night. The Browns could have some success through the air this week. Nov 1 - 9:58 AM

Mo's groin injury happened during week 8 and the timetable was 4 to 6 weeks for his recovery.

He should be back in plenty of time for the playoffs if all goes as well as medically expected.

It translates from week 12 to 14 which would be for the Commanders, the Vikings or the Giants.

Before he went down, I was saying bringing back Mo should be our #1 offseason priority. But at that time, I also thought Randy Gregory would be key to our future pass rush. Now I question anyone who has trouble staying on the field.

There's no way I resign Mo. some players are just injury prone. If he was a player on the level of Sean Lee I'd want him back but this is the first time he's played at a high level. If we do resign him it better be incentives everywhere in that contract.

Problem is, the CB market after this season. Not much to choose from. I wouldn't be surprised if both Mo and Carr are back and we look to ridding of Scandrick.

There's no one that will be on the market to replace him and we may even end up losing Carr and Scandrick. I worry about Scandrick far more than Mo right now. Scan is making good money, missed last season, and can't stay on the field this year. He's been below average when playing.

If there was a strong CB group in this year's FA, I'd be fine with moving on from Mo. That's not the case, and I do not feel comfortable losing Mo and Carr and rolling with Scandrick and Brown and a high round CB.

That smells disaster since it's going to take more than one offseason to fix our pass rush as well. I really don't want to go back to the 2013 defense.

Id like to see Kirkpatrick on a 1 or 2 year deal. He has finally turned the corner and has become a very solid. If a team doesnt offer him a big long term deal, I'd like to give him a looksee and see if he is for real

Pass rush, I think if he can find a strong edge rusher we will be in good shape. My belief is that if we can find a bettee RDE then Lawrence and can flip him to the right side we will have a rather potent pass rush.......I know, easier said then done

Why does everyone want to talk about who stays or who goes and who to sign.
How about waiting to see how the season goes, and then talk about it. All a mute point right now. I understand why, but to me, just not worth the time right now.

But yet here I am responding to it........
