Again this team had a huge chance at the end of the game to score and it was yet again the same story it has been for 8 years. The coaching was extremely poor. Needing 2 scores inside 4 minutes how many times did we see Dak, Swaim and others run and stay in bounds to gain an extra 2-3 yards as opposed to running out and stopping the clock. That is coaching. And it was accepted by our poor coaches.
Also why do we sit on the ball with 20 seconds left in the game and a timeout in our back pocket? Why does this coach believe that a 45-55 yard FG is a gimme? For crying out loud I have ranted about this in the past. You need to get that kick inside 40 yards to help out your kicker. How can me and other fans be sick and tired of this **** and us missing the playoffs on bad coaching but our ownership doesn't care?

Cultuebeats strategy for breakfast!
As I have always said it is about our culture. We have a losers mentality and we always will with this coach.
You either coach it or allow it to happen.
These are not my Cowboys, this is not the team I stood up for when they were 1-15, taking crap from all my friends living in DC area.
YouTube is the only place I enjoy watching the Cowboys.

them staying in bounds isn't coaching, that's the player not staying focus under pressure, they practice those situations in two minute drills, that was said when Terrance Williams did a couple years ago. The bogus penalty is what screwed up the fg.

The fact that we even had a chance considering all the mistakes is pretty remarkable. The team as a whole came together on those last couple drives, defense got the 3 and out we needed, Dak made the plays we needed, the WR/TE made the catches we needed, the OL gave us the time we needed, but Garrett failed when the team needed him the most...... again

Its not remarkable the skins suck too. Had this been the rams we woulda lost by 50

Yeah, I'm no Garrett basher like a ton of these guys on this site, but it's obvious to me Garrett is feeling like he's on the hot seat for sure. He is definitely not playing to Win and now for the second time this year, he had this team playing not to lose.

Not sure if it would have made a difference, but I was really surprised to see that they confident in just settling for the field goal. I was thinking for sure they would take a shot at the endzone or even try and get closer, but to just settle for a 45+ yd field goal is mind boggling. Yeah Maher had the leg, it's still no Gimmie.
I think going forward Garret is going to start taking more of these chances. He has to realize he's losing with the conservative approach and is likely going to get replaced anyway... so why not pull out all the stops.

Yeah, I see nothing remarkable about showing up late. Based solely on the odds, even the crappiest team will eventually have a redemption moment. Not saying Dallas had one, but eventually every team will luck their way into one so it's not all that impressive.

Second verse, same as the first. Same outcome for years on end. Piss poor clock management stacked on top of a gutless approach. These players put in day after day of work and finally grind out 59 minutes of football just so an apprentice on the sidelines can go conservative. I have no idea why any player would accept that. What kind of pitch is that to a free agent?

"We try to hang in there.....and that's about it. Would you like to join our team?"

I just don't understand Garrett. When a guy knows he's not gonna get fired, it seems like he would be more aggressive not less.

So we have established the team struggles to obtain mediocrity? Great. Average is the new excellent, I guess.
Mediocre talent and coaching gets mediocre results. It's not exactly a shock that the best team in the league would trounce us. We're literally not better at any position than the Rams, no matter how similar our fearless leader thinks we are. As badly as the team looked yesterday, yes it was remarkable that we had a chance at the end of the game. I never had the delusion this was a great team to begin with. Hard to believe that people thought this team was supposed to be a contender.

When it's accepted by the coaches it's the coaching.

We can second guess the last drive all day long but what was disturbing to me was the fact we were playing for first place in the division and came out flat as a pancake.
I mean did that team look prepared to play in the first half? Looked like Washington took it to us from the opening gun.
The miracle of this game was we were even in it at the end.

Jerry doesn't care because us idiot fans watch his dysfunctional team. He makes loads of money. He is OK with that.

Thanks to the defense. Imagine if we had a 20th-31st ranked defense like Romo used to have? The game would be over after the first quarter with our QB and OL and coaching staff.

Fixed it for you.

Actually, the fact we had a chance speaks to how bad Washington really is.

I know the Eagles are 3-4, but I have no doubt they will win this division. Washington and Dallas are both too inconsistent.
