Former Cowboy Nathan Jones now ref shown protecting player in Hou-Seattle scrum

If only he could have saved this team from the Niners in that playoff game at home a few years back when he reffed that game.

That's super cool to see. Go out there and destroy your opponent on the field with violence and aggression.. but you turn that off the moment the play is over. Be a good person!
Right you know what sometimes that happens in the heat of the battle the Texans are feeling depressed right now they are way underperforming to preseason predictions they fell off a Cliff couple years ago everyone's like why can't the Cowboys be like the Texans Yeah right like whenever the Texans have done what that the Cowboys can't do or have not done I mean we're always going to know that they're the little brother that's it you want to call them a kissing cousin I don't care they are not a rival but I can tell you this they're feeling that heat they had all these expectations and that are being crushed right now..

All that talk about CJ Stroud being him being better than Prescott on a run No they're not any better than when they had that little burst of solid football they played with some consistency when Watson was playing better..

Did the same thing this is no different than back when they had those three or 4 good years with Deshaun Watson that playing at a high level So yeah I think that was the culmination of frustration for them but yeah but guy loses his helmet and he's over in your bench here you need to back the..... off Yeah I left out the word in the middle....

Starting to understand and then I don't even think they're ever gonna understand how much pressure the Cowboys are under the scrutiny the media This is nothing this is every year for the Cowboys since they've come into the league When you carry around the Americas team moniker you talked about on every show every day and you get all the primetime games yeah there's a lot of pressure...

Yeah....don't know what's going on with the Texans. I like D. Ryan as their HC. I know they lost a lot of good players to FA. And maybe Stroud isn't all they thought he would be. I don't have anything against the Texans....however, their fans are obnoxious!! They act like we are their rivals. Child, please!! LOL

Pretty good gig. Surprised more retired players dont go the referee route

“put his life on the line” is ridiculous.

Wha the did was smart and did protect the player but referees get in between players all the time.

I think Stroud will be fine. A lot of the good ones have sophomore struggles.

Nice job ref, but he would have been fine. Texans coaches were already throwing most of them off. I think the players didn't know what to do with a guy suddenly sitting on the bench with no helmet. LOL

They've always thought that.. Had to remind them that all they are to us is an in state team I mean they're in the AFC they are not a rival we have never been threatened by them and that we look at them as cousins that's it little brother is like we call A and M sometimes LOL.

And look at how A and M held that grudge all these years they've been in the SEC and haven't played us and then as soon as we came back in they act like they're our rival no you're not our rival oklahoma has been our rival forever and they will always be our biggest rival...

they hate that when you say OK little brother. :muttley:

I don't think he's a sophomore I think this is year three I could be mistaken but I thought he was drafted in 2023 All the hype though it's ridiculous you know the comparison see he's better than Dak you should just get rid of Dak and just get a CJ Stroud in the draft..

By the way where's all this energy you all make me laugh in a bad way You know like sarcastically thinking I'm sitting here and when in 2017 when we were having all those distractions with Ezekiel Elliott and Prescott didn't look quite the same as he did the year before you guys were all over him oh we should have kept Romo blah blah blah didn't give him any sophomore slump excuse...

But yeah his sophomore slump was last year he had like 12INTs etc This is year three and it looks a little like last year not his rookie year so he's been on a little bit of a decline I wouldn't say decline but he's plateaued like straight line he's not getting better..

My point was Deshaun Watson and this Texans team when he was the quarterback at the beginning of all that played better They were for a short. A really good team and all of a sudden CJ Stroud as a rookie they were saying he was gonna be better than Watson and they were on their way and now they're not..

Isn't this his third year? Just asking not disagreeing with your comment.

Yes, but didn't mean as in 2nd year only. Just those growing years after the rookie phenom season. Remember a lot of QBs having them, even Dak and Romo. Aikman's growth was different, he struggled as a rookie and then just got it and never let go until the talent and health started going down.

It's absolutely is his 3rd year that's why I correct corrected him above it's not his sophomore year we're beyond that he did have a bad sophomore year it wasn't terrible he just was very average last year but he started off the same way this year so now people are starting to Make a little noise,..,

No I disagree prescott didn't get any of this excuses at all so I'm not allowing it keep the same energy the man's into his 3rd year He was being hyped up after his rookie year had a small sophomore slump but he started off this year exactly like last year therefore maybe this is who he is I don't want to hear the excuse train because Prescott got none of it around here they're still complaining about Prescott like he didn't go to the playoffs this rookie year and play well like he didn't have a bunch of great years here they're still piling on so I will not allow an excuse for CJ :)))

See post above. They're not college players, so I don't mean it literally. But yes, it's common for a lot of great QBs to struggle after an outstanding rookie year.

Yes it took him three years but by no coincidence they built a super team around him let's be clear troy and Roger had super teams they call it all in now that that's what they call it but those teams were built from the top to the bottom by some of the greatest coaching Staffs to ever play the game of football..

So yes you're right as a matter of fact I saw a quote from Drew Brees it says it takes most quarterbacks in this league five years before everything becomes easy where they're reading defenses and they fully grasp playing the position in the NFL and most of them are not getting a chance to do that..

Just giving you poop because Prescott and our quarterbacks never get excuses around here our own fan base want to run them off so I don't want to hear excuses for CJ....

Just giving you a hard time because our fan base gives our quarterback a hard time still now in year 10 when he's having MVP like numbers many times not once this is not the first time he's been top five in his stat lines so if our quarterback's going to get piled on I'm going to not allow you to have an excuse for CJ...

Playing devil's advocate, we also drooled all over Dak his rookie year, except for the few Romo Loyalists. He never truly got it back together until Cooper came.
