Wow! I honestly thought he was still on the roster. I remember him being a RFA, just thought he re-signed.

Liked him a lot but he was a poor fit for the new scheme.

Agreed. Plus he was expendable because McSurdy should give us the same thing.

Edit: did we cut mcsurdy too?

Yes. I believe Dallas didn't tender him for that reason. He's a big thumper, while the new scheme calls for players with great movement skills.

I believe Orie ran a 4.95, Kiffin wants guys who can run and the MLB needs to be able to take a deep drop in coverage.

Well he should go on to do pretty decent in a 3/4.

In the 4/3 he wasn't going to be able to run in coverage as a LB or rush as a DE.

Good Luck Orie Lemon!

good for him, i liked him as a player but if he has more success with Kansas i wish him well. I hope he stays a good person and has a successful career.

Most folks don't realize the team is actually in Missouri. Kansas City is really misleading. LOL

Always liked Lemon. I wish we could have found more playing time for the guy, but here's hoping he does well in KC.

Most folks are geographically illiterate, I guess.
