It sounds like when the Dallas Cowboys recently cut wide receiver Devin Street, they did exactly what he wanted them to do.

Having been waived by the Cowboys at the tail end of the offseason due to poor production and a low ceiling, Street landed on the New England Patriots practice squad. According to a Tuesday interview the third-year wideout gave Kevin Duffy ofMassLive.com, he is finally where he wanted to be all along.

"Maybe (getting cut) is a blessing in disguise, because I'm at a place where I want to be." Street said. "And I feel like they have a little want for me, too, just from working me out before."

Street cited his belief in being misused by the Cowboys as the root of his issues, and looks forward to the Patriots giving him a chance to play in the slot; something the 2014 fifth rounder did at times when he played at Pitt.

"In college, that's where I made a lot of my money, inside," Street said. "I wasn't utilized in that aspect in Dallas, which is fine. Just got to do what you need to do. But I'm looking for the opportunity to be moved all around here."

The whole not being able to play thing is beside the point.

He's a bum. Natural to blame the situation where it didn't work out but the guy just isn't good enough. He may think he's in a good situation in NE but they really can't evaluate WRs. He'll be outta there soon enough.

Hey, if he's good enough to earn reps in the slot at NE, more power to him.

Can't blame him. The guy just traded in a bicycle on training wheels for a Rolls Royce.

People are rolling their eyes, but how many offensive players have been "tossed aside" as trash by Dallas, to later resurrect their careers as successful, talented players under a different coaching staff? From Martellus Bennett, to Danny Amendola, to backup QBs. Lets not pretend our offensive coaches are even AVERAGE at getting the most out of our players, or are creating schemes that maximize our talent.

It happens all over the league, not just Dallas. I bet Skins fans wouldn't mind having Morris.

He doesn't appear to possess the quickness to win inside. We'll see...

What's the over/under for him to stay as long in New England as Nick Hayden stayed in Cleveland?

Whatever the line is, I'll go with the under. He may be getting cut right now.

Watch him get in the lineup and really do something. We have the worst coaches in the league. The Patriots plug and play players into their lineup successfully, its as if they are playing Madden.

The skins, in my opinion, have equally questionable coaching. When was the last time someone left New England and played BETTER on their next team.

Again, bye felicia.

You're where I always wanted you to be too. As far away from Dallas as humanly possible.

I am sure the feeling is mutual. He was not progressing, Dallas decided to move on. Good riddance...

I really don't know, but I'll take your word that it hasn't happened.

Bennet wasn't good when he was here. He dropped a lot of balls that were thrown at him. He was okay at blocking. He was definitely not worth the money he was asking for here. Did he get better elsewhere? Of course, he had to stop being lazy because he wanted a job.

It seems the Cowboys have troubles developing WR's. Its been a long time since they drafted a WR that really became great like Irvin or Pearson. Bryant is OK but even he has not become what he really could have been.
