Hopefully he's changed. Sadly I'm sure the comments about him just running out of money are probably more accurate with him.

What a waste of natural talent.

That is why I don't feel sorry for him. He had great talent and he choose to act like a thug instead of taking advantage of a once in a life time oppertunity. There are guys who would give anything to have that chance.

Pacman should have taken the CFL seriously and went there and shined. If he had, he'd be back in the NFL now.

He never realized how far he needed to go to redeem himself and now it is too late.

He should talk to Quincy Carter. They can take bong hits together and talk about how awful the NFL was to them.

Pacman had several run in with the law before Tenn ever drafted him Dez had dinner with Deion and lied about it. Kind of apples and oranges there. :laugh2:

Yeah I dont think dez is a bad guy at all.

I think from watching his interviews and reading his responses he answers very similarly to owens and pacman. that makes me nervous that if he does get in trouble in the future he will not man up to it and react the way those two did. Its my only worry for the guy.

I think he will be fine in our locker room. He will have no pull and if he is a worker he will fit right in.

oh and here is an emoticon.

Indeed.

Both are wasted talents and both only have themselves to blame but would more then likely blame everyone else. That is what happens when you confuse privileges and rights.

I hope it works out for the guy and I get what you are saying.

This is the only thing that worries me about dez, he kind of uses the same types of responses as owens and pacman and they are all instructed to say these things by the same people.

When Bryant couldn’t come up with a weakness...that perked my attention a little. I didn’t like that response because it makes me think he believes he has no weakness/does nothing wrong?

I also wonder how Dez will be 5 years from now with fame, woman and millions of dollars later. If he explodes on the field, all this could happen very quickly.

Yeah partied out or just ran out of cash to party with. :laugh2:
Probably a bit of both, but physically he's probably not as quick or fast as he used to be, and technique wise he's raw due to inexperience.

He is a Dallas cowboy. he has never even practiced yet and He has a following already and judging from the fans so far he already has a large buzz around him.

He will have everything you described from day one.

I think it is going to be a tough year for him. He is already under a microscope, he hasnt played in a year and he is going to be expected to be a difference maker in a very tough division and some really tough environments this year.

Laufenberg already said sunday he expects Dez to replace williams as the starter with austin this summer. that is quite a load to carry as a rookie.

If he can get through this season with his head on his shoulders, the sky is the limit.

I agree. I think you start missing that much time your skill level suffer. Seems to me some of the greatest to play the game became great because they constantly worked hard at it, they did not rely on the natural talent alone they put the work and effort into it. I think Pacman had a lot of nature ability but seems it was more about the money than the career.

Right after he was drafted Tom Brady called the Pats GM and told him he made the best pick of the draft.

Self belief in your abilities is not a bad thing. Irvin worked super super hard which is what Bryant swears to do. Irvin never said any player could cover him or that he had any weaknesses. A cocky hard worker is exactly what we want. Swagger, but well earned swagger and a guy who can stay out of actual trouble. Bryant might be a bit of a prima donna but he wasn't dodging law enforcement or having to play big man of campus to stay out of trouble.

I played high school ball with a kid who came out 10 minutes late every practice. He seldom did conditioning with us at all. Didn't stop Nebraska and U of Miami from recruiting him, nor Dennis Erickson from starting him at Miami.

this loser will never change.

he said nearly the same thing when he came here.

I remember vividly his butchering of "I ownded up to my mistakes I had done" comments.

Because what they say is the right thing but their actions aren't.

Poor Pacman. You can only spit on so many women before you get drymouth and it's just not as much fun anymore.

Funny thing is, he is out of league because of performance and not character issues. The guy can’t play.

are you serious??? you can't be. Clearly he is out due to character, he was an elite corner for the titans.. pacman>newmen

I just remember that episode on Hard Knocks where Jerry calls Pacman to tell him he's reinstated and Pacman is walking to the Hooters at the West End.
