The New England Patriots appear interested in former Arkansas tailback Jonathan Williams.

Williams met with the Patriots at Gillette Stadium on Monday, according to The Boston Globe’s Jeff Howe. New England already met with Williams during the NFL Combine in February.

Williams missed the entire 2015 season after suffering a foot injury during a scrimmage last fall. Rather than sticking around for a redshirt season, he elected to go pro. He led the Razorbacks with 1,190 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014 and is projected to be a third or fourth round pick by CBSSports.com.

insert obligatory "he is from Arkansas, why didn't Jones go after him?" comments, even though Jones only drafted one Arkansas guys in the last 10-12 years

His highlights look pretty good. He may have been a better prospect than his teammate if he was not injured. Maybe a 4th round pick?

Maybe the Cowboys staff should just follow their lead and schedule player visits with the some of the same players they do. Not a pats fan but they do have a knack.

I love Williams and I think he's a much better back than Collins.

He was the better back for two years they were a tandem. His injury last year actually helped Collins become a better all around back. They have different skill sets and both will have success, imo.
