He was interviewed a few weeks ago on ESPN's Outside the Lines. He was trying to get in shape in order to try a comeback. I did not think he came across that well during the interview. He still seemed like the same immature guy he always was. A couple of days later I heard an ESPN analyst(maybe Mortenson) say they thought it was a red flag that Rogers talked about going out having some drinks. The guy already had road blocks to overcome to get reinstated into the league. This is not going to help.

Police: Ex-Detroit Lions receiver Rogers arrested for driving drunk
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS (CP) – 1 hour ago
NOVI, Mich. — Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Charles Rogers has been arrested on a drunken-driving charge.
Police say the 28-year-old Rogers was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he refused a Breathalyzer test. Results of a blood test are pending.
Rogers was arraigned Thursday on charges of operating while intoxicated and operating without a valid license. He was ordered held on US$50,000 bail and didn't have a lawyer on record with the court. A pre-trial conference is set for Monday.
The second overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft served a 30-day jail sentence, with credit for 15 days, earlier this year instead of staying in an intensive counselling program after violating probation in a domestic violence case.
