The worst thing imaginable for a parent, I can't even imagine it. The pain and the guilt he's going to have to live with, it's going to be so difficult. This is a good guy too, he started a children's foundation in Baltimore years ago. Prayers to you and your family Mr Heap, may you find a way to carry on without your little angel....

It would be really tough. That's why the mental health profession exists. He'll need counseling and grief therapy. I hope someone encourages him to get it.

The guilt he must be feeling is something I don't even want to imagine.

It will likely consume a large percentage of his thoughts for the rest of his life.

That is such a sad situation for his family.

And he was, by all accounts, a good dude.

Sadly that was the first thing I thought of if that ever happened to me.

Man, I just feel for him. I really don't even know what to say or type. Very sad to hear about this football player or not.

I hope his family stays together. In too many cases when a tragedy like this happens, a spouse will blame the other and not be able to forgive. My co-worker went through a similar situation and they sought counseling, moved to a different state, kinda just started over.
