the only way is if he gets some sort of roster exemption again. From a talent standpoint hes most likely going to bag groceries

Frankly we should be moving on from this exempt experiment. It's a progress stopper for a newcomer that could use Issac's practice reps and coaching time.

Issac will never be a player for the future, and even practice squad exempt is a waste.

Can he not better try his luck in the XFL or USFL ?

I could see a team from one of those leagues calling. Plus, the Arena league is coming back next year.

He would have had a much better shot at being a backup interior OL.

But nah, this experiment, which cost next to nothing and was well worth the effort, is over.

Get the guy a cake. He deserves that much….and he likes cake.

P.S. How old is this kid?
He only turns 25 this summer. This is the advantage to finding guys when they're 21, instead of drafting them at 24.

I doubt it will happen, but I wouldn't be shocked if he was able to make the PS as a DL. I always thought that made more sense for him with his length. He's a little heavier I think, but similar build to David Irving. If Alarcon has that natural instinct to use his hands to create space and leverage, there might be something there.

I can't find any regulations that say he cannot continue to be roster exempt, giving Dallas an extra practice player, so I don't see why we'd cut him. You've essentially got a guy who can line up on scout team as an offensive lineman or defensive lineman. In fact, the reason they are trying him at DL this year is because he ran scout team there last year. It's important to have these players for practice purposes, so as long as he's roster exempt, they may as well keep him.

This is from nfl.com:

At the end of training camp, IPP players can either be signed to their assigned club’s 53-man roster or waived. Players who clear waivers may be signed to their assigned team’s practice squad using an IPP exemption that allows for an extra practice squad spot. IPP players signed to a practice squad using the exemption may not be signed to any team’s active roster that season; however, players signed to a practice squad without the exemption are treated in the same way as other practice squad players for roster purposes.

Sorry, I was talking about the host, Mauricio Rodriquez.
He looks like he's 16.
