I have been asked by everybody in the NFC East…” the retired Aliotti said on Monday. “The Giants asked me to come back when Chip got the first job. I didn’t feel right doing that. Some teams have called when they’re getting ready to play the Eagles and they call and have certain questions on the thing. Unless I know the guy and he’s a good friend, I don’t get involved with that.”

Aliotti says he turned down the requests, but he does enjoy discussing schemes.

Well, we apparently understood how to defend their offense last year.

I know Chip pu up points back then, but Kiffin has seen enough of it from his college days.

Looks like no team made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Jerry could have just told him, "You take your time and make whichever decision you're going to make... We're just going to take your wife with us to Dallas to show her around. Don't worry, she can stay with us until you decide. She'll be taken care of."

Maybe Jerry offered to pay him not to give advice, so he's lashing out....LOL....our D played well against them and this year we are a much better team on both sides of the ball.
Wonder how Chipper's O will do standing on the sidelines for 40 minutes of the game time.

That's pretty standard stuff. Teams reach out to former coaches and their rivals all the time. I remember reading that during the off season, Green Bay brought in college coaches that run the zone read to help them learn it and how to defend it. You see it quite a bit where a team will sign a player cut by a team just before playing them. Most teams don't leave any stone unturned to get info, especially on division rivals.
