Collins' fatal crash occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. ET on Sunday, per the police report. Collins was traveling eastbound on a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R600K motorcycle. Per investigators, the driver of a Chevrolet Suburban SUV proceeded to turn left to travel south on Northwest 33rd Ave. As the Suburban crossed the eastbound lanes, the motorcycle collided with the rear passenger side of the SUV. Per the report, the impact of the crash caused Collins to come to rest inside the SUV. Collins was pronounced dead on the scene. The circumstances of the crash are under investigation.

The majority are because of what other drivers do not the rider.

Correct. It's like playing Russian Roulette. Very sad. He was so young.

In South Florida you got really dumb drivers. Sure, riders can be going too damn fast/stupid but the lack of awareness by drivers here is god awful.
It's a weekly thing down here. Car makes a turn or u-turn in front of the rider. Rider dies. Rinse and repeat. And usually it's the car who broke an infraction but they get to walk away from the accident.

Add in driving at night, with one single headlight, it's just playing russian roulette here.

Considering it was a SUV, to me it's not a shock he landed inside.

In South Florida you got really dumb drivers. Sure, riders can be going too damn fast/stupid but the lack of awareness by drivers here is god awful.

I mentioned the speed because the accident happened in a 35mph zone I believe. You don’t end up in an SUV going anywhere near that speed, even at 50.

I know there are oblivious/terrible drivers everywhere, try navigating Los Angeles with motorcycles darting in and out of cars and driving between them to get by……another recipe for disaster.

I don’t know how Collins was driving nor what the car was doing, just weird circumstances on how it ended up. My best guess was the SUV turned and didn’t see the motorcycle, maybe because he was letting it rip…IDK.
