Foster balled out at Bama and bet he will with the 9ers as well. As for being a steal? He was a 1st rd pick so he does not qualify.

I think there are many first round picks that you could consider as a steal. Randy Moss and Dez come to mind for me.

He's considered a steal because he's top 5 talented. If was very stupid for the Cowboys to pass him up.

While I'm no fan of our linebacker depth, Lee isn't going anywhere soon and the FO was/and still is very high on Jaylon Smith who will see playing time this year.

That would leave Foster at SOLB, in the short term, if they had to get him on the field.

Not sure taking a linebacker would of been prudent over someone like Taco, who potentially fills a bigger need for us, short and long term.

Sure some teams may regret passing on Foster if he balls out, but the season is yet to begin.

Foster was a poor fit for this team. He wouldn't start over Lee or Smith and the SLB in Rod's scheme is a part time position that gets replaced by a DB on like 2/3 of the snaps. You don't spend a first on a part time player, regardless of talent

Foster wouldn't have been a part time player here. He would've won a starting position.

Foster would be our starting LB now with Hitchens out.

My fear with Foster will always be his health. That body took a beating at Bama. I never questioned his skill set. Let's see if he makes it through an entire year.

I think Charlton will end up being a fine player for us, but yeah, I wouldn't have been opposed to Foster at that spot. But even then, I'd still be concerned with his health.

I guess we can add Ruben Foster to the list of players the Cowboys should have drafted instead of Taco. Should we Cowboy fans rue more over TJ Watt or Foster?

Oh Foster would have started over the current version of Smith is a heartbeat but then the FO would have come up looking stupid
