Cowboys wanted size on their offensive line, thats what he has, at about 6-5, 333 and Lecharles bentley former good OL player (runs his own OL academy) said Livings is a big physical player, who pops or open up holes in the running game, and a good locker room guy. If clicks with OL coach Callahan you have a player in running game and can help you on offensive line.

Taking all of that in, we remember when nagy started struggling, along with costa and killer. These 2 players have some experience and gives you some flexibility if the young offensive linemen dont improve

In other words, remember how we struggled til we got Holland back in shape/ dockery was hurt too, also hearing Mackenzy is real good at LOG, possibly leaving cowboys to move Kosier if well to C.

That's funny because all the Bengals fans said he was awful a run blocking, and he was a better pass blocker. Hopefully he'll be adequate at both.

The thing is, someone who is a friend or associate of Livings isn't going to criticize him so it's hard to evaluate their comments constructively. At the same rate, you can say likewise about the snarky Bengals fans panning him. We honestly just have to look at his tape and disregard what people are saying about him because everyone is full of crap one way or the other.

also hearr that he only gave up abput 3.5 sacks within the last 2 years

The article states that Bentley is a friend of Graziano..the guy writing the article, not a friend of Livings.

This... And I would add that 99% of the American population doesn't know jack about organized football. So, you must take couch stars comments with a grain of salt.

I'll leave the analysis up to the coaches who get paid 100s of thousands of dollars to evaluate every day rather than an insurance salesman who watches 3 hours a week, 16 times a years rom his couch.

Ouch.

kills me that before the guy has even put on his Cowboy Jersey and even taken a freaking practice snap with the Cowboys..the unwashed heathen are foaming at the mouth waiting to devour the poor guy.

This flies in the face of a lot of people who thought bigger linemen have no place in Garrett's "system". Guess that's not the case afterall.

:lmao2:

I read he only gave up 3 1/2 sacks all of last season, not bad when you face Pittsburgh and Baltimore twice a season.

That is the most promising aspect of signing Livings. The potential positive effect running the football.

I think it said 3.5 sacks over the past two seasons. Adam said he's never given up more than 2 sacks in a season.

Wow, that is even better. I dont think most of us fans really know what goes on in the trenches, we just have to trust the coaches and scouts to do their jobs. Callahan is well respected as a line coach, so we have to hope he knows what he is doing.

Hudson Houck is an even more well respected line coach.

What's the point?

The point is who ever was making decisions on the offensive line personnel the last 3 to 5 years has had a lot of misses. Hopefully Callahan can turn that around.
