Any new foundation pieces this year?

Class of 2016
1) Offense looks like it may have a major piece
Rico - could well be one

2) Jaylon could well pan out (knock knock)

Possible Addition but long road ahead
Tapper - lets see him play against 1st teamers
please stay healthy with the back

2017 Draft -hmmm
Switzer - possible player but on offense again
Awuzie - flashed a little
Taco - TBD but did not flash in last game

Haven't seen Lewis yet, but I have high hopes.

I think Awuzie and Lewis are both likely foundation pieces. I need to see a lot more from Rico and Tapper. Who knows what to think about Jaylon.

Rico has his work cut out for him to prove he's ready to be awarded more action. He flashes impressively at times with his receiving skills, as well as his yardage after the catch. If his route running and blocking catch up with the aforementioned, then he'll have arrived as a staple for our offense. I'm willing to wait for that to happen. I do believe the FO and the staff is willing to be patient, as well.

This is the year to start our multiple Super Bowl WINS !!!!
Indeed. I feel it too. The puzzle has been completed. Jerry got his bust. Garrett got coach of the year. Last but not least, we finally acquired an outstanding young buck to replace Romo. And an RB that hurdle's players like there's no tomorrow. It's show time.

Foundation pieces are rare players with multiple probowler talent.

Rico clearly has the talent.
Also seems to have the drive and work ethic.
It seems to me it is a matter of time.
Foundation piece #1 added soon IMO
His opportunity is there due to Witten career stage.
I give it a 80% likelihood

Jaylon would be piece #2 assuming his foot continues to improve.
He clearly has the work ethic and natural talent and opportunity.
I give it a 70% likelihood.

Tapper showed some signs but not so sure at this point.
I give it a 20% chance.

The draft of 2017 - no one has jumped out but it has only been one preseason game.
I guess I give Switzer a ~25% chance so far.

Offensive Foundation Pieces: Dak, Zeke, Bryant (older), TFred, Martin, TSmith, Witten (very old), ~Bease
Possible Pieces: Rico, LCollins, Switzer
CLOSE TO THE ENTIRE OFFENSE MAY BE FOUNDATION PIECES - Just add a guard and WR (Have to say Noah has some talent).

Defensive Foundation Pieces: Lee
Possible Piece: Jaylon
We need 1 more pressure player, Jones and 1 other DB to pan out big time. Hopefully that is Collins and/or Taco.

Woah!! The guy wasn't even on the active roster last year. According to reports, his camp has been up and down. A few very nice catches doesn't put you in the (multiple) pro-bowl conversation, IMO. He's clearly behind guys like Brown, Collins, other Collins, Jones, Chido and Irving. I give him less than a 50/50 shot of ever being a full time starter. Don't get me wrong--I hope it happens. But you're way too bullish on him, IMO.

he has the physical talent to be a prototypic TE
he has the drive
he lacks experience and training, both can be trained.
i actually give him a better chance than jaylon to be a foundation player at the moment, believe it or not.

Learning on the job is hard at the NFL level. Name some other players who had zero relevant football experience, but went on to make multiple pro-bowls. Then filter that list to guys who didn't make the active roster year one, and were 3rd or 4th string year 2. It's not as easy as finding an ex-basketball player and--boom!--Jimmy Graham. 80% is pretty crazy.

the man weighs 280lb at least, 6'6" at least and can run like a running back.
he can make shoestring catches with inaccurate passes and then RAC almost like barry sanders
and his drive is quite strong - ie helmut throwing
look at how much he has picked up in 1 year.
i would be rather disappointed if they cannot figure out 5 plays for him.
2 goal line, 1 rub play with dez, 1 rub play with twill, and a te screen
