Four games at a time

Realistically, the Cowboys can't lose more than three (maybe four) games of their remaining twelve. In my head, I am breaking down the rest of the season into three 4-game blocks. This team needs to go 3-1 or better in each of these blocks to have a chance in the playoffs.

3-1 for 3 four game stretches, that's 9-3, 10-6 overall, which would be good enough for the playoffs. The only thing standing in our way, is ourselves, and our schedule.

And they will... We'll still win our Div this year. This team knows how to win and is waaaay too talented NOT to turn this thing around. We've lost 3 games and the rest of the Div has lost 2. With 12 games to play and still having to play the Div twice except the Foreskins, we're in great shape to get things done. This season is far from over, lots of football left to play..

Now this is a FACT....

we can really only afford to lose 3 more. 9-7 most often leaves you at home for the playoffs. Sometimes you make it at 9-7, but not usually. Maybe there's a better chance for it this year considering how poorly just about every NFC team has played. Still, we can really only afford 3 more losses. I just don't see this team winning 9 of 12. Not with the discipline issues it has.

Minnesota.

Nothing else matters.

That's my thought process.

I don't like to break the season into blocks because it really doesn't matter how you get there as long as you do. If Dallas lost the next three and then won its final nine, we'd still end up 10-6. Or the Cowboys could win six in a row, etc.

Minnesota is all that matters right now. Winning there would be a nice step forward.

They did it last year.

Which is why, for some reason, I still think this team can turn it around.

We didn't start 1-3 last year, and we didn't have as difficult of a schedule either. I'm not saying it won't be done. I just don't think this team has what it takes to do it. Hope they prove me wrong.

There's no doubt they CAN.

It's just a matter of WILL they?

I for one do not think so, which is why I'm selling my tickets to both the Minnesota and Green Bay game.

300 dollars for a ticket is not worth it when they might not even make the playoffs, and even if they do they wont make any serious noise with our problems at offensive line and kicker.

You don't win in the playoffs with those issues, games are too close and teams are too talented.

I think i'd prefer a losing season than rebounding to 8-8, 9-7 and missing playoffs.

Dude, seriously. YOU ARE THE BIGGEST DELUSIONAL HOMER IN THE WORLD. I was with your whole "it's okay guys, we'll come through" attitude, but reality has set in for me. Get over it. We're not making the playoffs. This season is done. That's just being real. *smiley face*

We are going to win 9 out of 12???

At Minny
At Indy
At Green Bay
At New York
At Philly
Vs Saints

That is only half of our remaining schedule and I count more than 3 losses already. Sorry, but we aint winning 9 out of 12 with this schedule, this o-line, and with this secondary.

8-8 tops.

All I want us to do is win. If we didn't have so many penalties, there's a strong chance we could still have won. It's just very difficult to think this team can turn the whole thing around given their performance on every side of the ball even after just coming off the bye week.

I desperately hope I'm wrong and will be delighted to come back at the end of the season & admit I panicked and that the Cowboys are truly great, etc., particularly if we still go deep into the playoffs or even make it to the SB. In other words, I very much want to be wrong on what I see happening on this team.

No matter what they do they just can't help being their own worst enemy. Explain to me why there even has to be a TD celebration. If you watch Austin after his scores, he just let's the ball slide down his leg onto the ground while in the endzone. In other words, he showing catching Tds is something he's done before. I understand Witten was thrilled to finally catch a TD pass & I understand handing it off to an OL player so they get credit, but somehow we even score that up. Gotta admit, I'm really upset with that call. Why wasn't CJ called for excessive celebration when he apparently ran to our star and did his celebration. Just seems to be the refs always call on us yet don't seem to see similar plays when our opponents do it. Realize the players & even the owners can't even publicly complain or that get fined, but somebody has to speak out. Of course if the refs really screw up a few other teams, maybe the NFL will finally be forced to do something about the inconsistent penalties being called around the league.
