Four games in, still zero interceptions for the Defense.

Prior to yesterdays game the Cowboys haven't had an Interception in 147 pass attemps. The Last INT was agains Carolina when the Cowboys picked off Matt Moore.

It is reflective of the fact that we are getting coverage sacks. If your hitting the QB early, your rattling his psyche, forcing him to throw early or be panicky with the ball.

there are 4 1st rounders in the secondary. talent is not the problem. coaching/scheme is. wade needs to go. bring in dom capers to coach the defense.

Teams are using quick drops and dink passing to prevent the sack. The Cowboys playing 10-12 yards off, prevents the INT.

The Cowboys need to disguise their defense better. Playing 12 yards off disguises nothing. Play 7-8 yards of, you can still play man and have time to react to quick passing plays or while maintaining enough cushion for zone especially with our quality/speed at CB.
I agree with this, and the worst thing you can do to fast short receivers is let them catch something short, and give them room to juke you, something that happened routinely yesterday.

As soon as Wade and Stewart get some confidence in our corners and let them play more man and send 7 we will make turnovers.

The defensive playcalling has been chicken...stuff...if they ever get over that and start to get aggressive this defense will improve ten fold.

...and they don't seem to want to do that until we have a comfortable lead, which we haven't had for the most part in the past 3 games.

Newman didn't help the cause yesterday giving up 2 TDs and a deep pass.

The first TD he slipped...whatever

The 2nd TD he had the man covered for like 3 seconds but there was no pass rush

The deep pass was set up by the fact that we had been given them those stupid routes and he recognized they were killing us with them so he tried to make a play. Had we been playing tight coverage the whole time, that deep pass isn't there.

How long have we been waiting for this?

21 games and counting?

This is the Phillips defense - they ran the same crap in San Diego, which is why everyone thought Jammer was crap.

On the deep pass....

He guessed wrong while playing off-coverage. No chance to reverse his field and recover. If he was running in a trail technique in bump-and-run coverage, he still could've recovered after biting on the double-move.

I think this Defense system doesn't work!!! We need to stay closer to the WR they always have too much time and the chances to make the catch untroubled and then, maybe someone make (or miss...) a tackle.
And remember that more then one time we were lucky for some drops (i.e. Browns receivers...)
