1. Rush Defense. We were all worried about the G-men running wild. The Cowboys shut Jacobs and his big mouth up.

2. Running game. That was one frikkin huge performance against one of the league's best defenses. We gashed the heck out of them and the running game looks much better than last season.

3. Crowd noise. We finally have some and in time it's going to make a big difference.

4. The Boys were -4 in turnovers, got some horrible bounces and still led the game with 10 seconds left...this against one of the top NFC teams.

Neither of those things have much at all to do with winning in the NFL. If you can't pass efficiently and stop your opponent from passing efficiently, you'll almost never win. We didn't do either one.

3. Crowd noise. We finally have some and in time it's going to make a big difference.

I didn't get that impression at all. The loudest it seemed on TV was when we had the ball deep in our own territory, which is absolutely ridiculous. (Crayton had to try to get the fans to quiet down, for crying out loud.) The Giants had no trouble at all with the snap count, never had a false start, never had to go on a silent count, etc. The closer they got to our end zone, the quieter the crowd seemed to be. It sounded like the same old crowd to me.

That's about the only positive for me. We played terrible in a lot of phases of the game, didn't get any breaks and still didn't lose until the final play.

I don't really have much faith in any of these things. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that the Cowboys can and will often find creative ways to lose.

We might have shut down the run this week and stunk on pass D this week and then next week the pass D will look All World but we won't be able to stop the run.

These guys have lost the benefit of the doubt with me.

Be careful. You might not survive in this era of "it's all over."

5. Jerry turns 67 next month

Well...make the list 5 then. Lot's of reason for hope.

Jerry is the greatest owner in the NFL...and the worst GM/Head Coach in the NFL.

I'd like to hear someone who is at the game talk about the crowd noise because I don't think you can evaluate it from TV.

I do know the announcers referenced it numerous times.

Wow Adam. I've never known you to be... less then optimistic.

I do remember the Giants having to take a timeout on their own ten or so due to crowd noise.

We had four turnovers yet still scored 31 points. That's a positive for the offensive possibilities.

Obviously if Tony doesn't play better it won't matter.

One is either hopeful or hopeless. That's what I say. Which are you?

Had a buddy at the game who said the exact same thing.

He said it was a new stadium but same pathetic crowd.

I can’t remember seeing defensive players constantly having to help the crowd make noise. For once i was proud of Barbie. He makes a great cheerleader.

And watching Crayton trying to quiet the crowd is pathetic.

No kidding, I was watching the Jets game, it was as loud as I ever remember that stadium and not once see a player need to encourage the crowd to make noise.
