That's the problem with your logic... as well as mine, admittedly... neither of us know for a fact that Bakhtiari will take.

It's true, if he wants as much as you theorize he does, that doesn't seem to be in the realm of possibility.

If he's going to end up in a deal that I'm inclined to think a 32 year-old who has sandwiched-in one healthy season between two lost seasons... ie, a very team-friendly one... I think that's do-able.

Where we differ in our conclusions is, I don't think Bakhtiari is going to find anyone ready to pay that kind of bank for him... his situation and Tyron's situation are not the same thing.

Agree- Tryon got his contract coming off a bounce back year health wise

Pardon my skepticism, folks, but it's exceedingly rare, of course, that there reports from credible DAL beat reporters ever of any specific trades that legitimately got discussed. So, if we're talking about that flashing light... that's a flashing light to me, anytime a poster asserts that we "know" we could have traded pick #X for pick #Y and #Z. Didn't say it never happens. But it happens so rarely that the flashing light applies.

San Francisco wanted Dominick Puni (OL Kansas) and ended up giving up 94 and 132 to move up to 86 to get Puni.

Philadelphia → San Francisco (D). Philadelphia traded a third-round selection (86th) to San Francisco in exchange for their third- and fourth-round selections (94th and 132nd)

1. players on contract years - stepping up and leading in the playoffs. Not disappearing in Green Bay again ( Micah Dak Cede)

2. Offensive line becoming a dominant run blocking Unit.

3. Another un expected Bland pick filling a position of need. ( preferably dt rogers- )

4. Both injured players coming back ( Diggs overshown primarily) , and avoiding major key players being injured ( previous years Dak qb- Tryon LT and Diggs CB all money positions )

5. 2nd year jumps - Mazzi Luke Duece ( injured but - Overshown ) - 2 of the 4 minimum

1. Sign Calais Campbell DT - He’s 37 so he is not a long term solution but he is among the best run stopping defensive linemen in the league. He’s not a liability vs the pass either. He’s also flexible where you can move him around from DT to End. Dlaw Kneeland Mazi Campbell Kendrick’s and Clark at the Will instead of in the middle makes for a much improved run defense.

2. Trade for Trayvon Burks WR. - He’s buried on the Titans depth chart. I loved him coming out of college. He has been a disappointment so far but as a no 3 option he might shine. I think he could give us a bit of the big bodied Debo Samuel type of WR.

3. Bring back Gilly. We didn’t get to see what Diggs Gilly Bland could do together. Bland is a good outside corner but he could be a great slot corner. I like Lewis but I think he is upgradable and would still see playing time in dime packages.

4. Trade for a rb with juice. The jets have several, the bears too, Atlanta, San Fran, Baltimore signed Henry making the rookie from last year with home run speed that I was hoping Dallas would grab expendable. There are options all over the place here.

These 4 pieces would make a big difference and they are affordable and we have enough draft picks next year to let a couple go.
